Would be lying if I said I was that bothered about going out. At least we didn't lose in 90 minutes and Richarlison got his goal.

Penalties are what they are. Ange said he would make changes for this so he'll take responsibility. We now have one game a week essentially until January. Might be a blessing. More training pitch time and recovery periods between games.

I'm not putting this on Ange either. He's shown faith in the squad players and given some of them the chance to show they deserve to start games, on top of which we only played three days ago. Its the same shit as when we bombed out of Europe's secondary competition's and it was on Jose. Blame the result on one paced players that we can't sell ffs.

We had technically limited players out there tonight, far too many for the few first teamer's out there to carry. We're entirely reliant at this moment in time on Bissouma and Maddison to pull apart opponent midfields. None of the wingers are coming out ahead and our striking options are woeful. Udogie and Porro possess technical skills which puts them ahead of their competitors

edit: as others have pointed out, he at least had the balls to take one. Shame on the attacking players who shirked responsibility.

he’s not a confident bloke as it is no way he should’ve been taking one, but penalties is a lottery so it’s absolutely not his fault of any of those penalty takers, we should’ve had enough quality to win the game in 90 mins.

That being said Forster didn’t get near any of the penalties which was quite disappointing.
