Sorry but if we signed Jesus, a lot on here who are saying he isnt that good, would be waxing lyrical. It happens. He is a good player, perhaps not elite good but he is a tricky creative player, his finishing isnt that solid but he certainly strengthens Arsenal and would have strengthened our squad - which is what this is all about, its not about strengthening 11 but strengthening our squad.

Arsenal were going to sign someone, they had to. They have a lot of money and all things being considered he worries me a lot less than other options.

He would have been a handy squad option for us but no more.

I agree with this. Hence why I said he's OK nothing great. He would be a good squad option but I wouldn't see him really dislodge any of our front 3, a good rotation option for sure but that's about it.

The thing is, it isnt about dislodging, its about rotation. Would he fit into the team when Conte wants to rest Kulu? certainly.

Richarlison and Raphinha wouldnt dislodge any of those front three either, but certainly complement them.

Liverpool have done it with Jota and now Diaz. They have a front five and not a front three. I just think we need to move away from the mindset about dislodging as there are so so many games ina condensed time that Kane et al wont play every game.

Going by the Twitter mob it appears they have signed prime R9
Yeah had a look on Reddit and they've convinced themselves that 50m for a player with 1 year left is a fantastic deal.

I think Jesus will be...fine for them. He suits their profile perfectly: small, technically sound, runs all day but not remotely clinical.

No denying he's an improvement on Nketiah, Lacazette and a poorly used Aubameyang but certainly doesn't instill fear and isn't really a focal point in the box.

Decent signing but good that they're spending big on a player that won't elevate them much rather than someone truly scary like Vlahovic or Osinhem.

45m for a striker who doesn't get that many goals in that man city team with one year left is madness

I reckon you’re bang on here. Osimhen, Vlahovic and even Isak were concerning signings. Blowing their load on Jesus is a brilliant waste of money.

:ROFLMAO:
The delusion amonst their fans is incredible. Honestly I haven't seen anything like it from a club in recent times. They are so desperate for Arteta to be the one, on the basis of very little if any evidence of him being that good.

What's a "neighsayer"?
Is it someone who speaks horse?

Or in Tony Adams case, donkey.

Like others have said. I was never worried about him if he was starting for City - it would be relief if you saw him instead of Aguero or even Sterling.

A good player and I'm sure he'll do well at Arsenal, but the same thing applies. Not a player to fear.
