Possibly. Or they play him more, or swap him for neymar or utd pay him.

Who knows?

even though it's possible he couldn't give a shit about money now.

he never left us for the money, he left us because it was his "Dream".

he works hard in training, so that alone would put him on the pitch "starting games when fit", yet playing for Moaninho doesn't guarantee starts.

financially he might not have the sell on value after he finishes with us, but buying him would bring in so much more money than Martial would, and there is a very good chance Martial won't make it with us. if he can't be bothered to put in the hard work for a team like Man U, no guarantee he would do it for us.

But it is up to Madrid as to when they accept an offer. If they are looking to sell they will encourage a bidding war before accepting the highest offer and then let us have a crack at matching ALL the terms of the offer.

Maybe, but I don't understand the context of a "bidding war" in football; it's only useful to bid more if one is rejected - any team can simply match a bid?

I thought Zidane was classless saying his goal was better when Bale had just won the cup for him & maybe kept him in a job. Could never imagine Poch doing that unless he was joking. Too many egos in Madrid.

Can we focus our attention on players we actually have any chance of getting?
There is an unhealthy large portion of our fanbase which believes there is absolutely nothing we should do other than get Bale back and unfortunately this entire summer every piece of itk and business we do is going to be berated for not being about him.

If bale decides he wants to return to the prem. Its not all about CAN we afford him...we honestly have to think can we afford to let him go to another prem team.
I'm a dreamer but just don't think we can afford him... he'll go for at least what we sold him for

The context is that Madrid could get a bid that they think is reasonable but tactically reject it but let other clubs know the first club is interested. Clubs then get drawn into a bidding war and our clause is nowhere near as beneficial in that scenario.

If he is available and wants to come back this is a once in a life time chance for Levy to transform the team into real contenders by raising the finances to buy him and the others Poch wants and up their contracts,Uncle Joe has the funds to make us a ten year loan which could easily be repaid over the next ten years.
Dont fuck this up Levy by hiding behind lack of finance because if he goes to another English club when he could have come here and makes them champions the fans will never forgive you.
.

I agree completely. Sometimes signings are long term but other times they are to make an impact and move the club forward. VDV may have only been with us 2 years bit he did more for us as a club than some players who spent best part of their careers with us.

If you want hard and fast evidence, on ANY transfer, what on earth are you doing here? Apart from trolling the place with wankfest this, psychiatrist that and generally pissing people off by being a bit of a knob.

And that's my job.

someones gotta take the place of TheHood and millsey

Just opinion but I expect you are looking at 30mil difference between the two that's half a top quality CM
With Bale in the team Eriksen could be moved deeper which has already been done this season on a couple of occasions.
