It really makes me chuckle why people think the boot sponsors care. Messi wears Adidas and plays in a Nike kit, Ronaldo wears Nike and plays in an Adidas kit. It's the player that sells the boots not the team they play for.
So what you are saying is that it isn't something that sportswear companies care about, that's a better answer to my genuine question about it, better than just "meh" don't you think.

The second best thing to come from the final - after Bale's interview - could be the performance of Benzema. If he'd been his usual headless-chicken self we'd be reading rumours of a Bale/Kane swap deal by now.

I also think Poch is more keen than some suggest, does anyone remember him saying this back in December?
“Of course he's a fantastic player. I saw him in Madrid when we played there,"
“He’s always kept in contact with the people who worked here in the past.
“I don’t have a close relationship with him or the people around him. But you never know what's going to happen in football.”

I wonder who he keeps in touch with and whether they can help grease the wheels...

Ronaldo back to Manchester, Bale back to London, Neymar back to Spain?
Ronaldo and Bale as opponents in the same league after both returning to their former clubs. You can't make that shit up.
Dier should get on the phone to Gareth and tell him to watch this

and that he would do that to Ronaldo when we play Utd, and Bale could stand back and enjoy the show.

I think Bale should watch it to deter him from going to United.

Why would united want him is the question in my mind, already struggling to get the best out of Sanchez who prefers the left hand side as does Bale, Rashford and Martial disenchanted by lack of first team games, seems odd when they need CM, full backs as a priority unless Jose going to play him LB.

I know it’s off topic, but they (seem to) care in the NBA - the players have been known to tape over logos, use towels to hide them, or in a few (older)cases, refuse to wear the other kit.

United would play Bale on the right.

I wonder if money isn't the big motivator any more with Bale - he's made a vast fortune, yet doesn't appear to be particularly popular or loved at Madrid........perhaps he wants to be shown the love again?

That's where we'd play him. No idea why Ali Z thinks his best position is on the left.

Bale is predominatly right or central now, really, really odd from Ali Z, Bale would fit them perfectly and allow Sanchez on the left.

Thanks for putting me straight mate. Tbh I thought it was plainly obvious considering it is commonplace with all the top players. I will remember in future some people just don't think about the obvious before they ask silly questions.

And yet another reason to say thanks that Football isn't run in the same way US sports are.

Bale is a waste on the left. He's most dangerous cutting in.
He's more likely to score coming in off the right, but he's more likely to assist from out left. He'd have plenty of chances do do both in our set up, as we're very fluid. I guess it depends whether it's all about him, or the team.

Well maybe but people trying to convince themselves or others that he won't fit in at United as Sanchez plays on the left is stretching it imo. He's perfect for them. Not trying to knock Ali Z, just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not sure suggesting to Kane that the road to earning more money is to go to Real Madrid is the best idea really!

You've lost me there, Gb . My post that you quoted was pointing out that Bale has won multipple CL titles, domestic honours etc etc, so until other players have matched those achievements, they can't really complain about him being the higher earner.

I honestly don't have a clue how you twist that into me suggesting Kane goes to Real Madrid?
