See a lot of people saying this but I doubt it. Think even the optimistic know it's gonna take some doing to make him turn down a much higher wage at Utd.
Nothing wrong with dreaming though, him in this team suddenly makes us serious contenders to win the league.
If he did sign for Utd and we brought no one else in of note then a meltdown would happen, and probably deservedly considering how much season tickets have gone up and all the hype about things changing.

Why do people think Bale is going to be so much more expensive than James Rodriguez? He was 25 at the time and Bayern got a 2 year loan and an option for 42mil. Why is Bale going to be double that? Madrid know they have more money than everyone and they like to keep strong business relations with clubs they would like to do business with in the future. We've treated Madrid quite well in the past, considering they've won 4 champions leagues since they've bought Bale & Modric. I don't see this being some ridiculous 80million fee.

Are people really comparing Bale the young, still developing, LWB (famous for destroying a Brazilian RB) and Bale the right sided forward who scored 20+ goals for us and then moved to Madrid and won multiple CLs inc. scoring the winning goals in two of the finals?

He wasn't a wingback at that point... He was a LW. I don't think it matters as I think he's great at either side. I was simply asking for which side he would fit best as if we would just slip Eriksen over to the left. Not sure why everything has to be so heated on here.
