Is it me or does gareth bale think he is too good for spurs now, he doesnt seem to track back now as much as he used to,he walks around the pitch hands on hips,as if ive run thirty yards, i dont have to back track, only when i fee like it.
There was times at stevenage, the shape in the team changed so it was a 442 (bale on the left) did he stay there no wondered inside again.
hes starting to piss me off really.
what do you guys think.

Hmmm and they call out fans fickle!! Only a few games ago he was back to his best! Bale is still developing and he is already world class. Imagine what he will be like in a few years.

No it's not just you. My girlfriend started watching spurs regularly just after we met last year, just after the AC home leg (she's a big handegg fan in the states) and she's been really getting into it.

She said, during the stevenage game, that Bale has started to seem a little arrogant and thinking that he's the dogs bollocks.

I actually agree with her. His attitude has shifted, and this can be demonstrated by his quite frankly disgraceful dives (see liverpool - only player in the prem to be called on twice by a referee for diving).

However, this shift may not necessarily be for the worse. I like the idea of a player who thinks he's incredible, provided he has the talent to back it.

In conclusion, you're not the only one mate.

I'm not sure he thinks he's to good for us but I thought he looked like he thought he was to good to play against Stevenage. (thats a lot of thinking)

Since he's started to playing in a more central role I don't think he's been as effective as he could be. For me, he's best when he plays out wide on the left and I'm supprised Redknapp hasn't told him to stay out there.

Disgraceful dive :bang: have you ever played football? he anticipated a challenge and went down almost avoiding it...how any spurs fan can call one of our best players disgraceful is beyond me.

How's your prawn sarnie by the way?

I noticed that too during Stevenage game but let's not blow it out of proportion. He's a match winner for us on big stage. I can forgive him occasional day off on a crap pitch with lower level opposition. Much bigger stars did that, he's still maturing as a player.
No need to panic.

well until we sign a player who can win matches or make a difference to the extent bale can on the pitch then bale will play more games than maybe he should at times.

having a good manager helps too in knowing when to take him out , give him a rest or when to give him a little reminder he is not in fact the dogs bollocks! but sadly we dont have that type of player who can be make a whole lot of difference from the bench. kranjcar is lovely footballer but im not sure spurs have even half the danger when he plays. we cant be without both bale and lennon in a match imo, they give us so much threat.

I think he's just saving his breath at times rather than being lazy. There's plenty of examples of him working hard to track back. But when you're a pacey winger like Bale you have to take moments of rest during a game. Even Messi does this at times after a lung bursting run.

He's definitely a lot more confident now but he still seems grounded. If anything he does get frustrated a bit more than he used to though. I'm not sure if it's the expectation or even the fan abuse he's starting to get more and more. But he has lost his temper or thrown the odd strop at times.

Nobody is perfect though.

This is it.
He got a lot of stick for it but the Liverpool defender I think it was Skrtel conned him , at one point it looked like he was going to get done should he just stay there and get his leg broken?
I'm not sure what the reaction was about it but I don't think he's all to blame for it.

Bale is the bollocks, I only wish he knew it!

This is one guy who does not think to much of himself, infact the opposite I would say. Some of his performances are not what we believe he is capable of because he lacks self confidence in my opinion.

Get off his back!
