Personally I think he looks quite good from the very little I have seen of him playing in a team struggling. Both he and Lallana, I believe, would be very good in a team that isn't often chasing games or getting pounded.

Ramirez looks quite clever both on and of the ball, can take a player on and has a good left foot.

I know he was coming back from injury but he was dreadful against west brom. that's the only full Southampton game I've seen.

Technically very good, but what really impressed me was his work ethic. the way he won balls off the Newcastle defence was impressive

He didn't shine in the world cup either, one decent free kick and that was about it. As sunny says, we were linked but i think the overall opinion was he wasn't worth the money being mooted.
