According to Sky Italy, Juventus have decided not to pursue the signing of Patrick Schick after meeting with Sampdoria.
Juve have confirmed that it's not happening on their Twitter. I wonder if he could be JJ's mystery Italian shopping trip. We're notoriously stringent on our medicals though.

£25m now gets you a one good game in five performer like Arnautovic. Madness.

Perfect signing in that respect for West Ham though.....

To be fair we established last season that £30m gets you a no good game in 9 months performer.

Jokes aside, Arnautovic is the absolute epitome of a West Ham signing.

Juventus and @sampdoria_en confirm that they have agreed not to finalise the transfer of Patrik Schick.

He's supposedly failed his medical. Italian side's are usually very thorough when it comes to medicals. I remember Almunia having to retire after Cagliari discovered a heart defect during his medical with them.

Shame for Schick, as he is some talent. I wonder if another team will take a chance with him though? Whatever his future in the game, I hope his health is prioritised, especially if some of the reports are accurate that Juve detected a cardiac issue.

This comment from that Beeb story (oh the irony)

Does seem a bit pricey, but to take a rivals best player in a position we are struggling with is good, a couple of decent strikers and we are done. COYI ⚒

Guaranteed that one good game will be against us though!

Spammer on the radio tonight moaned about this deal and said "Calleri is rubbish, only had one good game and that was at home to Spurs like our players always do". True enough unfortunately.

Prob gone under the radar but if Sheyi Ojo joins Fulham from Liverpool on loan I would fear they are building a platform for Sessegnon to join them in January/next summer (e. g first refusal, or simply a more sympathetic ear) by establishing a 'relationship' of sorts. Signing Robertson from Hull who is not all that, for less than £10m wouldn't rule them out of signing Sessegnon IMO. Hope Ojo goes to Boro instead. Think Sessegnon would be amazing for us, but not being able to seal a deal this summer will prob cost us when others wade in

Considering the last 15 strikers they've signed have turned out to be either utter gash or injury prone, I can't help but think it's a bit optimistic they'll sign "a couple of decent strikers" before the window is out.

couldn't have put it quite as succinctly - but yeah, completely.

Thought Schick to Juve had already fine through, but apparently there was an issue with his medical.
Found the comments from the Sampdoria president interesting “What they found is equivalent to a cold! If Juventus want to back out, we’ll sell him to one of the other four clubs that are ready to buy him."
Wonder who the 4 are ?

Everton have been touted. Sampdoria owner did add this, though;

"I think he'll eventually go to Juventus. If not, we'll take him back and add a nice 'maybe', given his release clause has now expired and we can sell him for not just €30m but possibly €40-50m."
