I though Everton would have learnt from their recent money splurge. I'd be infuriated at signing Richarlison for £50m.

Everton were quoted 15m over the phone from Watford. Everton heard that figure as 50m...and the rest is history.

Time for people to stop caring about the prices of players.

Just going to keep going up and up

Everton are that kid who has his first job and every pay check just spends all of it on stupid shit he's never been able to afford before.

Looks like 35m with clauses. 21 year old Brazilian talent on today’s market. I’m not shocked anymore.

Didn't he not score for like 6 months to end the season? He looked pretty clueless in our game against him the second half of the season if I remember correctly.

Jan Fiete Arp extended his contract until 2020 with Hamburg.. Was a player I was hoping to punt 5-10 mil on and loan back to them.

He had a bad end of the season but I think that was fatigue due to playing a full Brazilian season then straight into a prem one.

He had an awful second half to the season. Anyone with an interest in Fantasy Football will be aware of that.

In any case... 50m!? And what does that mean for their recent signing of Walcott. Odd.....

I'd be pissed to still spend £30m on the guy. I'd actually just be pissed if we were after him period if I'm honest.

What happened with Malcom in the end?

£50 million for a player who had a decent three months at Watford is just rediculous. I appricate he came on the back of a full season in Brazil so was due a dip in form due to tiredness but seriously £50 million.! It’s clubs like Everton who are over inflating the transfer market paying massively over the odds for unproven/average players. Unfortunately until this madness ends the prices for players is only going to go one way.

£50m for this player sums up whats wrong with football at the minute. No wonder any sane person would struggle in this business.

They didn't start it. They've just jumped on the band wagon because they've found a sugar daddy like the Chavs and City.

No they didn’t start it but they are carrying on the trend. Also with city and Chelsea least they actually brought proven quality players. Rather than what Everton are doing which is artificially inflating the transfer market by over paying for a lot of unproven/average players most of whom who if we are being honest wouldn’t get into any of the top 6 starting 11.

Might be wrong as well but still a lot of question marks over where the Everton owners money comes from and if he is actually a sugar daddy or not.
