Even though we dropped quite a bit relative to city and liverpool, the door is still open for us to approach their level. Chelsea have a huge task ahead of them now. Hazard's departure is a giant loss to them. And sarri's is on his way too.

Arsenal and United are similarly in a transition that could go either way. So we should really try to push on this summer. Keep Poch, build the squad. Three of our rivals could well be more worried about staying top 6 than joining top 3.

Dan James to United confirmed for 15m. I can't believe we didn't go after him, he is going to be phenomenal for United. Another Brooks/Maddison signing we missed that will be worth minimum three times his value come the end of the season. His blistering pace and ability to use both feet makes him Prem ready IMO. He was one of the best players on the pitch in Swansea's FA cup match against City this season.

These are the signings we should be making..
(even more ready to make an impact for us than Sess for half his value IMO)

Missed out and missed out. Could possibly be that we were after him and he chose United. Brooks allegedly choosed Bournemouth over us

It's common knowledge that he would've joined us had Chelsea not won the CL final to send us down to Europa.

Common knowledge that he'd have considered it. Spurs would then had to come up with a massive transfer record and wages far beyond anyone else was getting. I think City would've been his destination.

Plus we would have had to pay his agent a massive fee, something we never do.

Sessegnon has more potential. Performed ten times better in the championship than James has and is two years younger.

I’m not sure he’s quite got it, certainly not for United ( assuming they want to get back to being the best ) Brooks/Maddison don’t rely on their pace like James does. They are way ahead of him technically.

Still, having said that, he’s cheap and would have been well worth a look.

Manchester United have made "a substantial bid" for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky sources.

I wonder how much they have bid. Got to be 50m plus.

Manu made a £40m bid but it will IMO take close to £65m for this one to go through.
