If the Rice signing goes through it certainly will feel for the first time for at least 10 years that there is a significant gap growing between us,where did it go so wrong? also because of the absolute sh1t show of a season I actually feel pretty numb about what they're doing.

Well it shows that even one of the most hated owners can turn it around, with a bit of self reflection, good organisation and lots and lots of investment.

Little Danny doesn’t seem to fancy any of that but there’s no real reason why we couldn’t aspire to it, we’ve become as rich or richer than arsenal..

Nah, it was when the Russian gazillionre and Kronke were having a tussle that their fans hated the board. Eventually Kronke won and handed the reins to his son who appears to have a pretty ridiculous sports record as all his US teams do well. Not so simple for us I guess.... 😬

They want to win and invest the money to do so. We could have spent similar money when we were ahead of them but never did and wouldnt now. It shows the lack of ambition really as financially we're in a similar place.

Mbappe to United must be a very good chance now. Timing works perfectly for them with the takeover, very unlikely Real will be able to keep up with what Qatar can bid for him.

Keep seeing this. He’s already at a Qatari owned club. Not sure Sheikh Jassim is gonna want to it’s off his king by trying to prize his star asset away from PSG.

Well they have to sell him this summer or they get nothing. Presumably they want to get as much money as they can and given the bad blood between PSG and Real, surely a sale to a compatriot for more money makes more sense.

Maybe but if the alternatives are selling to the Saudi's or another Middle Eastern state owned club(who else has the money) I'm sure they'd prefer to keep it in the family. Madrid will want to do this on a discount for sure if they know they are the only viable suitor.

I wonder who we’ll go for then if we can’t get Maddison.

Shame, as I think Kang would have been perfect for us.
Not just that but he could also play RW and LW so he would have solved a number of positions. Whats for sure is we won't find a better player for a lower fee.

If (and it is a massive if) this happens it'll be interesting to see what it does to the harmony of the squad. Rashford absolutely hates not being the main man at United, as shown by his severe dip in form when Ronaldo was there.

On paper it's a scary thought if they had the pace of Rashford and Mbappe up top with Fernandes and Eriksen feeding them.

I'm still not convinced that the scum get a clear run at Rice. Even apart from if other clubs come in look at January. They were apparently spending nearly 200 million in Mudryk and Caicedo and ended up with two cheap prem options
Pretty sure they do this sort of thing every window.

But who else wants him? United just bought Casemiro, City have Rodri, Liverpool maybe? But then does he leave Spam to not play CL? Unlikely.
