I doubt it. They've been after this permanent deal for quite some time. Probably since Chelsea recalled Ake fucked them over and recalled him from the loan there in January for no reason whatsoever. They were apparently very close to getting it done on deadline day.

£20m though. Almost as corrupt as the Qataris giving abramovich £54M for David Luis 3 years ago.

£20m is a reasonable fee for a talented youngster with PL experience and international caps. Certainly no reason whatsoever to think it's corrupt.

Buy-back clause is pretty meaningless anyway - just means club get first dibs if he is sold. Player doesn't have to accept the move.

Bit random but this pic of Seydou Doumbia wearing the colours of his new club Sporting CP made me smile. Just brimming with excitement :)

Wasn't he the lad that was 100% going to Arsenal? Everton splashing the cash and gambling on a lot of Bright Young Things at the moment. Fair play to them.

Apparently him and Arsenal agreed terms but a fee was never in place...but Onyerkuru is a real talent!

funnily enough given this page, Barca activated his buy back. Wonder if they plan to sell him on for a profit...
That's what I thought at first, but apparently as part of the buy-back clause they can't sell or loan him this season. He supposedly done well at AC Milan last year so who knows what their plans for him are. He only signed a two year deal though. Really bizarre deal.
