There’s a player at Swansea who was on loan at Plymouth Morgan Whittaker. He’s a left footed winger / midfielder, been playing on the right a bit. Got nine goals and seven assists in 25 appearances in a Plymouth team which are top of league one. Swansea recalled him and there is talk of him going to Ipswich Town. He looks similar to Cody Gakpo. Direct skilful and rapid plus he’s over six foot, I think he would be great back up for Kulu. Surely this they type of guy we should be looking at ? We could get him for a couple of million then either loan him back out then maybe Chelsea could but him off us for 90 million if he had a couple of good games for us?

I’d happily go for Bowen as Kulu back up when spam get relegated
He’s been pretty awful this season apparently. Quite a few West Hams think he should be dropped.

Also he’s not creative like Deki. The beauty of Kane, Son, Deki is you have a contrast of styles. Kane the finisher and creator, Son the finisher and speed, and Deki the creator and ball carrier.

Depending what happens with Son and getting in someone for him succession-wise, we need to think about the blend of the front three.

Mudryk has signed an 8.5year deal, why such a long contract, it is insane? It’s like boehly got miffed he lost a few players on frees this summer and decided to never let that happen again so he is giving players massive contracts they haven’t earnt.

Mudryk will be on minimum 150k salary, add that to the 90million pound fee, makes it a total outlay of £150million. Absolutely bonkers and massive risk. They only have to look across to us to see how hard it is to shift expensive duds like we have done with ndombele. Luckily we only have one or two high risk assets, chelsea have a whole squad of them!

This is where I'm at. Modern football is a joke, there is no hope or future if you aren't capable of dropping a billion every 5 years.

I find it harder and harder to care about football seriously anymore.
On the bright side it means I care less about today's result than I would've a few years ago.

I can't give up football altogether but I'm seeing it more and more as just entertainment than actually caring.

I am bleeding from my eyes now... ?
If Le Arse get Rice that makes them formidable. He is such a big upgrade on Xhaka

The long contract will be because Chelsea can then amortise the spend across that period of time.

Its an FFP workaround - albeit a risky one if Murdryk flops and then can't be shifted.

If be flops they will just loan him every year and get the team to pay wages
