Also slightly surprised west ham didn't push for 107m to make it the biggest transfer in PL history. Definitely something Levy would have got done

One things for sure, you can't carry on this ridiculous media narrative of Arsenal being underdogs to City, they'll spend more money than them this summer and I'm pretty sure they spent more than them last summer too.

Chelsea are continuing to off load their deadwood to The Arabs with absolute ease. They are blatantly taking the piss.

It all depends on if other teams in the league get to offload players in that direction too, but it won't be anywhere near as many as Chelsea and the whole thing needs to be investigated.

I don't think City have been the biggest spenders for a few windows now, or maybe once in like the last 6 summer windows AFAIK.

Fair play to arsenal backing arteta like they are. Whether the players are worth the money or not, they obviously wanna try and go one better than last season. We all may be rooting for city next season as well!?

City have built a very settled squad though that only needs minor tweaks here and there. Arsenal have been all over the place for years.

Still yet to be impressed by Havertz so will be interesting to see how he gets on at Arsenal

£170 million for Havertz and Rice seems a bit outrageous but sadly becoming the norm for PL proven players. Maddison for £40 million seems like an absolute bargain.

Winks & Coady is very good business for Leicester.

Why would Coady drop to the championship?

Very odd given how he was seen as one of Wolves important players season before last and was getting called up for England.

Fair play to Ars as Rice is a fantastic player. Exactly what they need to keep pushing, sadly.

He's been stealing a living for years now.
Bit harsh. He never lived up to early potential really, and has lost pace, which his game was really dependent on. He's a solid PL player, works hard for his team, and chips in with the odd goal. Hardly a fraud.

I hate that phrase. Unless a footballer is Carlos Kaiser or like Winston Bogarde at Chelsea, they aren't stealing a living.

Walcott isn't fantastic on the pitch these days but how good is he in training? Is he involved in coaching now he's a senior player? Is he good with the youngsters? There are so many factors worth considering that most people outside the club will never know about.

Bit of a strange one this, apparently Everton had the option to buy at 3m and said no.

Something a bit weird with Coady, why Wolves let him go, why Everton didn't pick up the buy option and now him dropping down to the championship.

He was supposed to be a very good reliable cb a couple of seasons ago. His career has took a nose dive.

He might just be one of those players that was perfect for a specific system at a specific team, but isn’t flexible enough to adapt to new managers and new formations. He was great under Nuno and Lage, but has struggled to keep it up under anyone else.
