I actually hope they are.
Hear me out though. We are knee deep in ITK that Schneiderlin and Kramer are two of our top targets, our main opposition for them seems to be Arsenal and Man U. I'd sooner they sign their Kondogbia, Gundogans, etc. leaving us to get the guy we really want instead of them signing our guy and leaving us with our lesser option.

Although Sport aren't always spot on (far from it) genereally when they claim there is "contact" they're often right. However, they are saying if Barca won't get Pogba they'll go for Kondogbia - but they are 2 different players though; and Barca already have 2 solid DM in Mascherano (yes, I know he most play CB - by default) and Busquets. And now that Xavi is gone Rafinha, Denis Suarez (who I understood has been called back 1 season before his loand deal ends) and Sergi Roberto will start to demand more playing time or they'll leave Barca.
Barca's priority is still a fast, quality CB who is good in the air.

If I had the luxury to choose between Kondogbia and MS I would go for MS.... even though I believe Kondogbia has more potential/higher ceiling, and - with the right attitude - can turn into a truly world class player, a la Yaya Toure.
The reason why I would choose MS, however, is that he seem more disciplined player (partly, because he's more "limited" in ability compared to Kondogbia) and thus fits our needs for a DM better. Plus, I think it will be easier to keep MS and Kondogbia for duration of an contract (yes, it is very subjective but it's still my opinion).
But heck, I would be thrillled to have Kondogbia come to Spurs though.
The reason why I would choose MS, however, is that he seem more disciplined player (partly, because he's more "limited" in ability compared to Kondogbia) and thus fits our needs for a DM better. Plus, I think it will be easier to keep MS and Kondogbia for duration of an contract (yes, it is very subjective but it's still my opinion).
