Wijnaldum tweeted an angry face emoji this afternoon and deleted the tweet a few minutes later.

Hmm, "not at the moment"...
That suggests to me that Wijnaldum could well be on 'the list' but, perhaps, we have alternative targets & interest in Wijnaldum could be firmed up if those alternative targets don't come to fruition?
You paying for him?
No, so why care how much is paid for him?Do you?
I'm not a huge fan of Boufal, but I'd prefer him to Wijnaldum.I read it as we are signing Boufal.
No, so why care how much is paid for him?
Because it directly impacts how much we can spend elsewhere on players I believe are better/more needed. No, so why care how much is paid for him?
How do you know we won't spend 15 mill instead for an inferior player and leave it there? I just want good players and he's one of themBecause it directly impacts how much we can spend elsewhere on players I believe are better/more needed.
We aren't Man City, we need to be pragmatic with money.
Yunus Malli could be another Payet in essence. Very good player.Don't watch enough of Newcastle's games/highlights to know this, but is he a VDV esque No10/WF or more AM?
I think we need someone with decent (or better) pace who can actually take players on, skillful dribbler. Is that Wijnaldum? I think Yunus Malli is the other feasible option based on media (albeit older stuff now).
