My mistake, I was told it was for the celebration.

Ultimately it doesn't matter, Gerrard didn't deserve to get booked for his celebration and it's nothing to do with our game. Chadli's booking was a joke, but really nothing to do with Gerrard.

Just a ridiculous decision. Don't think I've ever seen someone yellow carded for such a harmless celebration before.
Didn't Rafa get one against the scum for the doing the 'sshh' celebration after a pen?

That card was a travesty.
Half of the goals scored in the PL are celebrated like that. If it's a no-no, it should be established before the season starts.
Maybe it was, for some reason changes in rules or certain clamping down isn't properly communicated. Sky might mention things in passing, but the Refs Assoc could do a better job of outlining it - saves all this grief after. If players have been told about it then they should have no excuse. Seemed like Oliver currying favour with the home fans though. Which there was a lot of.

"Inciting the crowd"?
Follow it through logically and the goal should have been disallowed. I get very incited when the opposition scores, I think the refs should clamp down on it.

But super super Stevie G ran to the Everton supporters, not his own.

I don't think so. The away fans sit to the leftof the goal at Anfield Road. He ran to the right when he scored.

It has probably been said before many times, but VDV did something similar amore than once against Arsenal.

Agree.

It's simply a case of 2 different referees saw a similar incident differently.

Gerrard is part of the "old England team" along with the likes of Lampard, Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Rooney etc, where basically no matter what they do they are always the best and never wrong. Even though England won sweet FA with them in the team.

Rooney? are you sure?

I don't remember him getting away with much!
