Now I didn't think we'd be seeing him back at the club. But this thing is...

...the lad has really hit a nice run of form at Derby - so who knows?

both managers complained about him to the fourth official.
he got stuck in on a couple of thier players ,
3-3 at stamford bridge was a classic game in which he scored and was in thier face for most part of the game.

usually wed dont have anyone complain about our players i wish they did.

Which is a major plus point.

But I doubt Levy will have him back, and neither will the majority of Spurs fans. I liked the guy and thought he got a lot of unfair shit on here, but the fact is that he's never offered a really decent apology for throwing the shirt.

I'd go along with most in here that Ghaly clearly has a bit about him and will do a good job for most sides. I would actually not have him back less because of his shirt throwing and more because he simply hasn't got the quality of a top 4 midfielder. We have plenty of 5th-12th place calibre midfielders already.

Hope Ramos & Poyet had a word with him I'd love him back at the Lane. HE has natural talent, Boateng doesn't.

Sorry, but that last comment is very unfair. Based on his performances for Spurs, I can see where you're coming from but believe me, KPB has talent in abundance. From what I've seen for Germany and occasional glimpses in the Lilywhite, he could turn into twice the player Ghaly is.

I guess only time will tell though.

Yeah was just about to point this out... if Ghaly wasn't foreign he wouldn't be getting stick... if Keane did this (ok, he's Irish, but you know what I mean) everyone would be saying how great and passionate he is!

Ghaly was good for us... constantly in teams faces, and had the odd trick in the box too...

Remember him playing on against Portsmouth despite losing 4 teeth in the 5th minute?

Comments taken from Wikipedia -

His future at Tottenham was left in doubt after he pulled off his shirt and threw it to the ground after being substituted during a Premier League match against Blackburn on 10 May 2007. Ghaly had been brought on in the first half after an injury to Steed Malbranque, and rebelled when brought off. The Tottenham fans were left angry at Ghaly's reaction, singing "You're not fit to wear the shirt" and he was disciplined by the club soon after.[1] He issued the following apology: "I am just so angry with myself," Ghaly told the official Spurs site. "I have always considered it an honour to wear the Tottenham shirt and I never intended to show any disrespect".
"I knew things weren't happening for me out there, my play was terrible and I could hear the crowd jeering me. I was so upset at the fans' reaction. I have enjoyed playing in front of the club's supporters all season and I felt I had given of my best all the time and played some decent football. It is always hard to accept being substituted after such a short period of time and I was upset and taken aback by the cheering. I am a player who plays with my heart".
"I know my reaction was totally wrong. I have apologised to the manager and I also want to apologise to the fans. I hope they don't judge me on this incident alone. I have tried hard for the club this season".

 Don't worry, no chance of that happening mate.......

good point, he did set up a few goals as well, the one against fulham for berba and the one against borough. i wonder how many assists he actually got.

Having watched most of the squad fall into holiday mode over the past 10 weeks, Ramos may actually appreciate another player with a bit of passion. I believe Ramos gave many of the players rope to hang themselves. Those without the professionalism to compete over the past few weeks are unlikely to be the type of player capable playing consistantly enough to break into the top four.

Having said that, a lot of these players held 4th place from November 2005 until May 2006's sickness defeated them.

Spurs fans are fickle enough at the best of times. If he did play for Spurs again it would only take top class performances and a goal or two to turn the fans around.

If Ramos likes him he'll be back. If he doesn't he won't. In Ramos we trust.

it would be interesting to see what Ramos does with him. Has he seen enough of him to keep him in the team? And i bet that once he has had a few ramos sessions he will be at his best.

But can we accept him back and do we need him?

yes and Maybe

Dont see why we cant accept him back, and if there is a huge problem with ghaly, then there should be problems with other players. Depending on who we buy in during the clsoed season depends on if we need him, at the moment we do as i would say only him and Tainio offer any real bite in midfield and he has shown signs of what he can do! we do need better than him for first team though

I'm pretty certain he was quoted as saying he didn't want to play for Spurs again.

I can't see him playing for us, and based on his latter performances I think someone will take him of our hands for a bargain price.

He's not the most mature of players but he's definitely a talented player. Wonder how he'd fare under the Ramos regime?

I would welcome Ghaly back as part of the squad - but what he offers in terms of creativity we have now bettered with Modric and what he offers in work rate and committment, while admirable, is probably (hopefully) going to be evident in all the players next season...I just dont see an absolute need for him...sell him on and if we can get 2-3m for him great...if he is part of the squad next year I will support him like the rest of the team, although he will need to win me back to get any plaudits

I say....give the boy a chance....Let him 'wear the cloth and ashes' for a while and show Snr Ramos what he can offer at WHL. I was not too distraught by the 'jersey' incident, in itself, but I more questioned his loyalty to the club etc, at the time.
Time will sort all ills....they say! That was, obviously, not written with THFC in mind! COYS!
