Much of what you see and hear coming out of a club (be it from players or staff) is largely made up by the press.

With this in mind while I would be shocked to ever see him play for us again, it would not suprise me in the slightest if he himself had never actually stated he would never play for us again (rarther created or twisted by the press)

What you see may not always be (remember)

So time will tell what happens to Ghaly, I suppose a lower level Prem side could want him or one of the newly promoted teams. Personally I would expect him to be moved on to a club in Europe (although probably not joining up with Jol in Germany)

Comments taken from Wikipedia -

His future at Tottenham was left in doubt after he pulled off his shirt and threw it to the ground after being substituted during a Premier League match against Blackburn on 10 May 2007. Ghaly had been brought on in the first half after an injury to Steed Malbranque, and rebelled when brought off. The Tottenham fans were left angry at Ghaly's reaction, singing "You're not fit to wear the shirt" and he was disciplined by the club soon after.[1] He issued the following apology: "I am just so angry with myself," Ghaly told the official Spurs site. "I have always considered it an honour to wear the Tottenham shirt and I never intended to show any disrespect".
"I knew things weren't happening for me out there, my play was terrible and I could hear the crowd jeering me. I was so upset at the fans' reaction. I have enjoyed playing in front of the club's supporters all season and I felt I had given of my best all the time and played some decent football. It is always hard to accept being substituted after such a short period of time and I was upset and taken aback by the cheering. I am a player who plays with my heart".
"I know my reaction was totally wrong. I have apologised to the manager and I also want to apologise to the fans. I hope they don't judge me on this incident alone. I have tried hard for the club this season".

Hope Ramos & Poyet had a word with him I'd love him back at the Lane. HE has natural talent, Boateng doesn't.

You cant really say that can you ?? Ramos has not had a chance to have a look at him yet - Look at Jamie o'Hara , he impressed the boss in training & now he's a regular & just signed a new contract. Maybe Ghaly will catch the managers eye. ++ We get to keep our Egyptian Tv Highlights ;-)

he upset two managers the season he threw the shirt
morineo and wenger
he did not deserve to be dropped every time jenas was fit as he worked hard, i guess he had bigger right than robbie did when he got subbed at the brummies match.

just my thoughts - Passion sometimes is stronger and we lacked that at whl for some years.

My thoughts exactly. We've lacked an effective substitute this season, that can come off the bench and really make a difference. Maybe Huddlestone at times, but the rest have been piss poor. I think given the chance, Ghaly could do that. Obviously the fans aren't going to be happy about an incident that happened over a year ago, but people make mistakes.

Is he currently 'On Form' ???

Yes he is on form.

And he is a decent squad player. And is not LAZY (he often busts a gut on the pitch)

I also love his retribution tactics. If he sees a Spurs lightweight like Lennon get clattered you can see a yellow card in Ghaly's future.

I like him. He has some piss and vinegar about him unlike apathetic Spurs (top of the fair play league is not necessarily a good thing!)

Short memories a lot of people have:

I just hope he remembers how to run in training.

He was a decent squad member and played important parts in some important games. I won't forget that move he instigated against Chelsea any time soon.

both managers complained about him to the fourth official.
he got stuck in on a couple of thier players ,
3-3 at stamford bridge was a classic game in which he scored and was in thier face for most part of the game.

usually wed dont have anyone complain about our players i wish they did.
