He was bought back as a DOF at one stage and been caretaker manager a couple of times. So he would have worked with youngsters a number of times. How many times has Defoe cheated on girlfriends a number of times and got a pat on the back from people here for it. What he did was morally wrong but we are a football club not the conservative party trying to impose family values.

My main concern is whether he is a good coach or not.

First of all great players don't always make great coaches or managers so no idea if Giggs is suited to being a coach. Haven't read any reports from Utd players raving about him about his work after retiring from playing.

Next his ambition seems to be to manage and it appears he is looking for a fast route there. So not sure I want us to be giving him coaching experience in order for him to use us as a stepping stone.

Thirdly, not sure we're hiring first team coaches so not even sure there's an opening.

Glad i started this thread, what the fuck was i thinking. Someone who was part of the most successful English club side ever, learnt from one of the best managers ever, why the fuck would we want him, he is a *****.

A lot of the best players the world has known make absolute crap coaches. Maradonna, Pele, etc.

Then some of the best managers and coaches in the world were nobodies as footballers. Mourinho, Klopp, etc.

Their on pitch success is the most overrated quality for a coach.

Not to mention just how badly do you want him whispering in all our player's ears about how great Man U is? It's not like the man is known for having a moral compass. Backstabbing his employer would be par for the course.
