Given Walker, and how I thought Fredericks looked in his cameo, there's no need for another RB and especially one that's not HG given how close we are on the foreign quota. Still like the idea of Micah Richards to focus on CB and provide cover at RB.

More full backs we get the better both right and left cos what we have at the club are really woeful to be quite blunt . I think better than walker out there too , if walker didn't have such great pace he would be out as well .

To be fair I don't think Naughton has been that bad since moving back on to the right in Walker's absence. He's not been the worst out of the back 4 in recent games by any means. Rose has been downright awful, Vertonghen underwhelming, Dawson looks a complete liability and Kaboul's a shadow of his former self.

Yes indeed, but Naughton is at an age at which if he doesn't consistently start, his value will only decline from here on. On that premise, and his quotes a few months ago saying he'd like to move on if he doesn't become the first option, I think this summer is a good chance to sell him for maximum value. This reason is also part of why I think Richards is an ideal purchase, since Naughton is one of four HG players I realistically think there's a decent chance of us selling this summer (Naughton, Sig, Livermore, and Lennon).

I don't have much of an issue with Naughton as backup fullback, but Walker needs genuine competition for his position if he's really going to push himself and improve.

I've only seen Catania play a few times this season, so can't comment on Peruzzi, but by all accounts he's highly rated (both Milan clubs are looking at him supposedly, along with Fiorentina & Lyon. The latter have supposedly made a bid for him today). Only 21 as well, and to impress at a struggling club in his first season in Europe is encouraging.

Peruzzi is a very good player, could help any team interested in upgrading at RB

He's actually a very good RB. Will be a starter for Argentina in the next couple of years imo

He's only 21 too
