while bae has improved and been more consistent than i thought he would be

rose showed yesterday he is ready to take his chance.
still reckon he is the better natural footballer of the two.

noo, you just hate him for some reason

carried our only threat until he tired (which was to be expected ).
literally ran himself into the ground.

I don't hate him at all. He was shite. All you've done by bumping this thread is remind people that you made a shite thread about BAE

Lol Rose is a good backup full of energy and enthusiasm with a lot still to learn... perfect back up in my opionion... Had a good game going forwards yesterday and with some more coaching could become a very good full back...

Rose is at best a mid championship player (atm) and yet people want to swap him for BAE?

I personally wouldn't swap BAE for any LB in England at the moment, he is integral to the way we play football, and still improving defensively.

Everything Rose does seems to be hurried and at full speed.

Nothing will change Spurs_Bear's opinion of someone once he's (she's?) made his/her mind up. Was the same with Pav. You remind me of that evil bear in Toy Story 3, if you haven't seen it go see it so you can watch yourself in action :-x

In all seriousness though, Rose was the only one who even did anything positive in the first half yesterday. Still, talk of him being anywhere close to replacing BAE is almost ridiculous in my opinion.

Pretty surprised at the criticism of Rose, while I would never suggest that he ought to take BAE's LB spot, I think he was one of the best players on the pitch against Stevenage. Significantly, he actually did some proper wing play, which was very much needed seeing as Bale is still playing in this rather unproductive Barca-Leo Messi-Lite style.

Lolwut?

Rose was shite yesterday, saying he was 'our best attacking player' doesn't really say much, see 'theShiznit's post.

Now Pav was just dog turd from day one. If that makes me a big nasty bear then I'm ok with that. I'm glad he's 1,000,000 miles away from us.

Welcome to SC. Remember BAE was shit when he joined Spurs but became an important member in our squad. I hope the OP mirrors his improvements.
I thought he would never get a game for us, he was bloody useless! He is integral to our squad now and one of the best in the country.

I thought Pav had gone to Locamotiv not FC Saturn ?

You'll always be a big nasty bear... Ok enough of that, sorry I was just rambling

I agree with everything theShiznit said really. I don't greatly rate Rose in all honesty but I just don't think he was that bad yesterday.

he wasnt shit , he was playing as a left wing back and made a lot of runs, got in some good crosses and was a threat when going forward . Your just weird with your opinions and obviously can't be taken seriously.

In my opinion our only decent chances against Stevenage were from Rose's crosses. If anyone underperformed, it was Bale. One his most forgettable games in quite some time.

Err, Rose was only any good because Stevenage were doubling-up on every other player. He put in a couple of good balls but with the time and space he was gifted he needs to do more.

Either way, it's irrelevant as BAE is probably on form alone the best LB in the Premiership at present.

I don't know what game you were watching mate, every single one of his crosses from LW came after he had to wriggle free of their RB who was all over him, often with another defender in support.

Yeah, let's throw him in there ahead of the two biggest games of our season against Arsenal and United, amazing idea!

We were playing Stevenage for christ sake - even the likes of Andy Booth, Tramezzani, Pav, Jenas .... well maybe not Jenas, would have looked like superstars against them.

Rose played reasonably well but unless Ekotto gets kidnapped by aliens, Rose isn't and shouldn't ever get anywhere near our 1st eleven.
