Why, we are doing just fine right now so why to change it?

We're doing fine with Jenas and Hudd in centre MF but if either gets injured we are limited to Zokora right now. Our midfield against Liverpool unsurprisingly failed to perform I prefer Ghaly over Zokora.

you are indeed right. Hudd and Zokora were pretty terrible against pool, we badly missed jenas. Ghaly and Hudd or zokora would be a much more balanced pairing

Ghaly in centre midfield, hmmmm maybe...He's was played out of position during his time with us. Maybe we'll see an improved Ghaly in centre of midfield but he needs to do alot of running in that department.

We won against liverpool and ok so the midfield wasn't great, but playing against Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano is a tall order for any midfield,
Zokora works hard for the team and covers alot of ground, Huddlestone tires out after 70 minutes in any game, Jenas is our best central midfielder at the club atm, if none of these can play then i'd expect to see Corluka and O'hara playing there long before Ghaly gets back in the side,
I not even sure i would want to see him back in the side,
he certainly didn't want to be here a while back and how quick has everyone forgotten he threw his shirt at the managers feet?
Playing well in the reserves isn't always the way to get back into the first team too,
Plus seeing as we are a fickle bunch down at the Lane just imagine the reception he would be greeted with if he did get in the side? can't see many being too happy with that decision tbh.

Well hell Andy. It's not as if anyone is happy with any decision that is made lately.

definitely give Ghaly a go instead of Thud and Ohara If 'arry tells the fans to give him a go there won't be any booing

he can't be any worse than thuddlestone who looks as if he's playing on sinking sand.

who's to say he's match fit? he's only played 1 reserve game in about 3 months.

I am all for giving players another chance and I don' think Ghaly has been treated that well beore Harry came in. The only place he can prove himself is on the pitch, and I think people forget how lacklustre his performances under Jol were. I expect people to go on about his broken teeth, a couple of crosses etc, but lets not forget that he was not setting the world on fire before.

Give him a chance, but it is the last chance saloon....

Boeteng had a standout game for the Ressies the other night, so he might get a chance soon too if he keeps impressing for them. Right now though, a few substitute appearances at most really for those guys.

I would personally prefer to see Bostock tried than go back to Ghaly.

I do think Ghaly is a decent player though, lovely cross on him, ok pace and energy wise, prepared to put his foot in, has a trick and had a couple of standout games for us. I thought in the 3-3 FA cup draw at chavs he was very good. But he's an erratic passer and decision maker and we already have 2 CM's with those same deficiencies. Jenas is quicker and does more work so he is above Ghaly and Zokora is quicker and can be utilised (my tongue is a bit in my cheek) in more areas of the pitch than Ghaly so for me he's also ahead.
If it comes to coming off the bench or being used in cup games etc I think there's far more value to THFC for that place to be taken up by Bostock than Ghaly.

I would like to see him on the bench tonight, but don't think it can happen, as he's probably not registered.

Neither Taarabt, Ghaly, Rocha or Stalteri were registered. The only one i think really matters out of those though are Rocha. We have plenty of cover in midfield and right back. But at centre back, with no Corluka and King now being used for League games, we're looking light at centre half. Thats the problem with changing managers though. Ramos was using King in the UEFA Cup matches. But he also was happy to play Zokora or Huddlestone at Centre Back instead of Rocha. I'd personally prefer players to play in their natural positions myself. Hopefully Harry will do likewise.
