I don't think anyone will take Pav unless we can convince some crazy Russian billionaire to take him "home".

I didn't watch the game tonight but I do expect both to be off if any half-decent offers come in.

We only have two other strikers besides Pav, though. What happens if Adebayor gets hurt for any extended period of time? Defoe can't lead the line and Crouch isn't here any more.

We really needed another striker for cover when Crouch went out. Levy really needs to get the Leandro deal sorted and pay Internacional's quote, or at least go after some cover from abroad (Huntelaar, Papiss Cisse, etc).

The only games worth playing Pav might be the two games against Rubin Kazan because there will be a lot of Russian interest.

He was absolutely terrible against hearts, and reports are he has at last found some consistency judging by his performances against PAOK and Stoke.

An up for it Pav can be quite good....an unmotivated Pav will be really, really bad.

Also sounds like Gomes had some handling issues as per usual, which is a shame, but he's got the tag of calamity keeper now so everything is a gaff. However it does seem he is still unpredictable, too unpredictable for a keeper.

Pav has always had something going for him, even though he could not deliver it consistently. Now he is consistent in the sense he is useless throughout every match he plays.
He used to have a good shot at least but now he can't even kick straight from 18 yards.
Not good enough for our 3rd team for the UEFA. Same can be said for Gomes unfortunately. You can't play an unreliable goal keeper for any game.

Get James Mcfadden on a free, shit player but I'd go as far as to say he's on par with Pav at the moment

The only chance we'd have of offloading him is to a Russian club. He still has a rep over there apparently.

I predict that he won't after the two games against Rubin .... assuming he features, of course.

Let's hope this is true "Lokomotiv Moscow Eye Roman Pavlyuchenko Swoop insidefutbol.com 22:33" unlikely given the source though.

We don't have much in the back up striking dept sure but he contributes nothing so no point having him.

I think Pav has just lost interest. I think there was a comment from him in the media demanding a move just after we signed Adebeyor, so his heart's obviously not in it. It's a shocking example to set for the youngsters in the team; who by the way have been excellent in all the games they play whilst the "senior" players have pretty much moped around putting in below par performances.

Frankly I think Pav should be dropped to the Spurs XI squad, and Harry Kane promoted - along with the likes of Cebellos and Coulibaly.

I like Gomes and will be sad to see him go, but although he evr lived up to undoubted potential there is a brilliant keeper in there close to the surface. He's not a 3rd choise keeper so I expect him to go in Jan.

Pav mostly has awful ball control. but has it in him to be a decent striker, but unfortunately appears to be here just for the money, because he isnt interested in playing most of the time. Bye Bye Pav once youve gone you'll be quickly forgoton thats if anyone even notices youve gone [apart from our wages clerck].

With Pav down the pecking order, we need to start negotiations now, for a striker to join at the start of the Jan TW. If anything happens to Ade, we will be back to what we were last season - without any reliable striker.

It was only 4 league games ago that he was scoring twice agaisnt birmingham, winning the game, and people were happy to have him here.

The problem with that is they're the one team in the group we need to be at near full-strength against in order to be sure of first or second place.
