About 3pm. Walked past him, thought it was him. Turned back, tapped him on elbow.
'Are you Gomes?'
'Yes, yes, Gomes'
Shook his hand.
'Good luck, tell the players to sort it out and stop letting us down'
'Ok, ok.'
Big smile and he walked off.

What is he doing in Waltham Cross?

Got to say it's not the greatest town in the world! Even McDonalds left... saying that My ex lived there and Don Hutchison lived next door!

The only Best Buy this season and also seems like a really nice bloke. Unlike the Chesunt Boy ... Bentley, seems to have an ego about him, wish he showes it whilst playing !!!

They did say that. I can't actually believe they started a rumour about Don Hutchison and her. It was a random time.

My ex was gutted when McDonalds left.... the fat bitch.

OMG McDonalds has closed down, Waltham Cross really is one of the worst town centres I've ever been to. The best thing there is the KFC and thats because its a drive through so you don't have to step foot in that crappy town.

I grew up in Cheshunt and my then best mate lived in the Cross. It was a shit hole then and last time I was there a couple years ago it was a real cesspit, with that shopping centre that's like something time forgot. A horrible, horrible place.

interesting - I lived in Park Lane at the Cross 1952 to 1964 and went to school in Cheshunt - it was ok back then

As the gentrification of central London pushes further out, the suburbs take on the character of the inner city, and commuter towns become suburban.

Cheshunt is a toilet these days. Mind you as a Cheshunt lad born and raised, I have to say it was never much. As I recall when England were knocked out of the 1990 World Cup, Cheshunt was the only town in the country to succeed in staging a riot...

There is not one reason for a premiership footballer to be in the pavillion of waltham cross. Not one. If he is shopping down there, i suggest he gets himself a new agent.

Waltham cross is the most "meh" town in the world ever. Except Europa, by theobalds grove. very good italian sandwich shop and bakers.

Oh and my road is alright too.

I live on the Old Pond.. It's Great watching all the chavs riot whenever england go out of a major championship! We threw footballs down last time like in the Carling advert, but the old bill came and told us off :-(

You wouldn't recognise it now. It's actually starting to make Tottenham look up-market.

We still have our McDonald's, yah boo sucks. And I confidently predict a Starbuck's within the next ten years.

The Abbey's still OK. Mind, some ****s of developers forced 'The Old English Gentleman' on the Navigation to close. Bastards.
