I think you didn't read what I posted. What I said about Perez was said by Jorge Higuain. You think there's a chance he would know, or would it also be sensationalist??

Besides that, not giving Higuain a pay rise, is an indirect way of showing him the door. He's earns nothing in comparison with the rest, and he's one of the most important.

You can say to the media that you want him to stay and bla bla, buy if you don't do something to make him comfortable in the club, you are practically throwing him out.
It's like if Bale was now earning 40k a week while the rest of the team earn over 100k, and we say to the media that we want him to stay. Well then do something about it.

Yep and Higuain can't be happy that Benzema who Perez threw money at to get him to join is earning so much more and actually not scoring as many goals, even last season when they played pretty much the same (Benzema getting a couple more sub appearances) Higuain managed around 50 pc more goals I believe

Unsurprising he is unhappy about the situation

Why do you all do it to yourself? You think if we had an offer accepted for Higuain at any point that Arsenal and City would just sit there and do nothing?

Then assuming they offer you think higuain would turn down the more money at city or the CL football of Arsenal to play for us?

I would love to believe but the realist in me stops me.

Higuaín earn €3.5m net per year - €140.000 weekly pre-taxed money, this puts him in the 2nd tier of our wage bill among players like Alonso, Özil, Benzemá, Ramos, Pepe, DiMa, Khedira etc.

The Higuaíns met Floren last week in attempt to persuade him to lower the asking price and were told he's in the future plans of the Club and nothing below €45m will be accepted. Higuaín is now training in Madrid and will join the team for the pre-season preparation next monday. Ancelotti and Zizou want him to stay too.

I am hoping he leaves and joins Spurs!
ILLM hinted again yesterday at Higuain... think we are sticking to that is his gut opinion over genuine ITK (not that he is verified anyway)

At the end of the day, people have got excited by the idea of signings like Higuain in the past. ie Benzema, Kaka etc. It has never happened.

There is no reason to even entertain the idea that we'll sign Higuain. It would actually be a complete miracle and would only happen on deadline day if Real cant shift him anywhere else for the money they want, like the VDV deal.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it was a deadline day deal if it was ever going to happen.
The player himself likely wants to review options and see who comes in for him (CL vs non-CL, etc...) before making a decision and if no-one big tries to sign him then RM might... MIGHT offer him to us at "cut-down" price like VdV. Doesn't mean he will sign of course, just that it would not overly surprise me on deadline day to read something along those lines.

But hey, it would surprise me less if he went elsewhere or simply stayed at RM.

That quote by the Napoli president tells me we need to kick our pursuit of Benteke into high gear.

With Arsenal potentially losing out on Higuain to Napoli, Suarez being overpriced and what might be Rooney to Chelsea, Benteke becomes far too logical for them.

I just think they have a powerful number 9 type in Giroud, and they'll be expecting him to kick on this season. Not sure they'll go for Benteke at all, could be wrong though.

Napoli obviously with cash to burn after the Cavani sale, but even so...
If Napoli can compete for Higuain, why can't we? (other than CL).

Napoli have yo-yo'd up and down in and out of the CL, so don't see why they are that MUCH more of a lure than us right now. Naive of me perhaps? Maybe...

So Napoli are negotiating to buy Higuain and Damiao, we were negotiating to buy Moutinho and Damiao and Villa and god knows who else so it don't mean he's going to get them.
Mind you he can have Higuain as far as I'm concerned.
