So Napoli are negotiating to buy Higuain and Damiao, we were negotiating to buy Moutinho and Damiao and Villa and god knows who else so it don't mean he's going to get them.
Mind you he can have Higuain as far as I'm concerned.
Not a fan of the player?

Who do you want up front? You didn't want Villa, you wouldn't want higuain- not having a pop just genuinely curious?

D'you know what, I'm not:). I can't give a list of reasons I have just never been impressed with him, never seen him do anything that sets him apart from the mass of ordinary strikers and if he'd been playing at depotivo or somewhere I suspect his stock wouldn't be so high. Real bought him in aged 20 but I doubt they would buy him now when he should be reaching his peak as he's not, in my opinion, good enough for them.

Edit: Kr1978 just saw your post, in all honesty I'd be absolutely chuffed with Benteke.

I think your a great poster but sometimes I couldn't disagree more with your view on a few strikers ! ;)

I rate Higuain very highly. He was a Calderon buy only a short time before Perez tookj over again. Perez bought Benzema and wanted him straight in the team in place of Higuain who basically, over 2-3 years, has impressed multiple managers and proved himself to be very undroppable, much to the chagrin of the President. The wage issue is evidence of Higuain not really getting the wage from Perez that he merits given his role in the team over the past seasons. Shares the load with Benzema admirably in my opinion, but its time for him to go because you can be an amazing player, but for whatever reason, you still need to leave - thats the tiny margins at the likes of Madrid/Barca etc

No chance we will sign him. Last summer his father basically said we weren't big enough to sign him and didn't have CL football either. Nothing has changed.

Need to get Higuain on loan for a year with a view to buying next summer. No need to worry about spending 30 mill now and money won't be an issue next summer if Bale goes.

Would Madrid go for it though, if it gets them Bale next year? Alternatively Morata.

Money is not an issue now but Levy still won't pay more than 15m for a centre forward, although he is very happy to pay 17m for a midfielder in a position where we are already overloaded !
