hey look robbie was class before he left for liverpool. but eidur does look the business, has 2 goals in 2, both good goals and he coped with filling in CM much better than robbie could have (or any other spurs striker, current or recent)
I must say i was really impressed with him today. He played great in both positions, makes it look effortless. Pure quality on the ball, that bit of composure and skill that you love to see in a player.
I just love the way he plays simple football. He's just what we need when we play the big guns. His experience is invaluable and he will have a massive part to play on getting 4th. I'm chuffed with him and I'm sure that this team mates are too.
+ this is a guy who has won everything in England (everything but FA CUP, so he wants to add that to his list), Champions League, La Liga and the Spanish Cup.
...and he's played in many many big games and ususally does well.
I can't believe how well he and Modric are hooking up. Its like they have been playing together for years, always finding space for each other to make the quick pass.
We were so good in the second half Fulham stopped chasing Modric and Eidur around because they were running circles around them, laying off little passes to Crouch and Bale, what a great team we have right now.
While I will always love Robbie Keane for what he has done for Spurs Eidur is making it easier to let him go.
For me right now, Eidur is really making a push to start every game down the stretch or at least be the first sub off the bench because he is so intelligent and links everyone together. Defoe better get healthy quick because Pav and Eidur look very good right now and even Crouch is putting in a good shift.
He's brill. He reminds me of how Keane was a few seasons back really. Smart player, plays in the hole, links play very well and always finds another player. Great player to have on board, hope he's here next season.
Not so sure. On one shot when they froze it, you could see his foot wrapped around the outside of the ball before their defender's (Gera?) foot could have made contact. Either way, it's good to have another Viking back at the lane.
He's looked every inch the player we expected when we bought him. He appears to have shed the extra fluff he put on at Monaco and, dare i say it, we finally have a physical, aggressive, old-style centre forward on the books. Without him on the pitch today we could've been in grief with the subs and then injuries so early in the second half but, not ignoring Wilsons superb effort at right back, he slipped back into the midfield and was still motoring up and down come the whistle. Top marks to a top player
He is 31 years old but he has a robustness about him, a bit of a mean streak - or as he calls it - the viking thing - A bit of aggression ain't a bad asset to have, he will get stuck in.
