Gus Poyet is convinced we’ll see the best of Rodrigo Bentancur at Spurs. Our former midfielder and Assistant Head Coach to Juande Ramos has been impressed - but not surprised - with how quickly Rodrigo has settled here after his January move from Juventus.

Would be handy if Bentancur could pick up Gus's incredible ability to ghost into the box and get on the end of crosses. He certainly has the frame for it.

Yup.

It's not just so much his one touch passing but all of his skills that consolidates into his ability to quickly transition us from defense to attack. This ability is rare and coveted.

One player who is best known for it is Barcelona's Busquets. Bentancur has not shown the refinement to be considered at Busquets's level where that ability is concerned, however, Bentancur seems to be a more dynamic player. Bentancur is useful in a lot more situations which we definitely are benefiting greatly from.
