I just want to share my appreciation for this guy who is doing a brilliant job so far. he's like a General for Juande doing all his tasks without any fuss. I love his honest and positive comments on tv and the thing that impresses me most is before a sub is on he gives that xtra motivation to players (Defoe, O' hara, etc.)

I was afraid before cause of all the clashes we had in our staff but this guy has been excellent and I think he has played a major part in our training sessions. Well done and keep it up, Gus!!!

I loved him as player here and delight to see him here again. I think you're right about your post.

Poyet have only one problem with staff as i've heard, it was with John Gorman, then Hoddle solved the problem between the two quickly.

Quite like it that Ramos says nothing and Gus does the PR . I think they should keep it like this .

Keeps Ramos away from all the bullshit and free to concentrate.

He's a great person to have at the club and I'm glad he's there.

Completely agree. Sod the silly tabloid media, both paper and tv. Do not care if Ramos never talks to the media (although a word or two with the club website and through the club publications is always nice!). He is here to get the best out of the team, not to pander to the likes of G.Crook's rambling 5-minute questions.

By all accounts you could not shut Poyet up if you tried. I think he has the right demeanor to deal with the press and should keep doing it. Loved his answer to the query about the l'Arse winner yesterday, not bullsh***ing and just simply saying it was bad defending and unacceptable by our players.

I also liked it when he said it is a sad day for Spurs .

We are playing the league leaders away with a makeshift team , we miss a penalty , hit the bar , luck stopped us .

Some might be happy with that.....not Gus

Wait a minute, how does anyone here know if Gus is doing a good job? Being good at PR does not mean he is doing good coaching job. Chris Hughton got slated on here regularly, when people had no idea of the job he was doing. Personally I don't know that Gus is any better than Chris Hughton.

There is some evidence. Most players who arrived at this club got steadily worse, and as assisstant coach for god knows how many years hughton must take a fair share of the blame.

Under the new regime players like Robbo and Jenas have started playing to the full of their ability, and there is no doubt poyet has had something to do with that.

Does he get any credit for being part of the coaching team that took the team to two fifth place finishes? Or is that down to someone else?

Robbo is starting to get some consistency back, as for Jenas a few games does not mean he is playing to the best of his ability. He is still inconsistent and still doesn't dominate a midfield.

Friend of mine is a Leeds fan and he says that he notices the difference in there team since he has gone. Obviously our change in play is not just down to Gus but the whole coaching team.

Add to that list Berby, Lennon, Defoe...all have started to perform again since Wendy arrived. Frankly, i couldnt care who's responsible but one way or another they are all starting to perform closer to their full potential which is what its all about.

COYS!
