My sources indicate that Spurs have asked Madrid for a price on Guti.

Don't know how certain the info is but just thought you might like to know.

Much as I'm for this, I fear this'll be moved to General Footie.

No it wont. Guti has been linked in the ITK thread. No need to move it.

To be fair there was alot of talk about Guti on FTL earlier so for now I'll leave tis here. The info on FTL didn't come from a known ITK but it is still a link...sort of.

The story is in one of th tabloids this morning too. The mirror i think? 5 mil is the quoted price, but i expect that is made up on the back of the internet stories.

if it happens we can talk of top 4 and top 4 midfield. i doubt he'll agree even to 2 times our salary cap though

There are few players in the world that i hate more than Guti, he's a typical Madrid 'the sun shines out of my arse' player, but to be honest, with our lack of creativity, id take anyone who can find a through ball, and he certainly can.

I think this is a spurious link. We were linked with him a few windows ago but he turned us down.

But he is a creative midfielder. I'd still Prefer Appiah though.

That is why I would love him at spurs the way we get defended against he would be perfect as berbas supply route.

He is consistently incosistent. Nearly left Real so many times. When he is playing well he has got that quality creative side to him. But someone like Van der Vaart would get my vote, he is still only 24, was skipper at Ajax, now skipper at Hamburg, so obviously has something about him

Alot of people have said he would be a great signing but what are you basing that on? what he used to be? I havnt seen a single sign of quality from him from the last season or two.
