Problem he isn't allowed to earn more than he is getting at Sunderland because he can't negotiate a new deal

Marcotti was on ESPN Press Pass and he got good info on the deal last year, just reported that bruce and Gyan had big falling out and he was also upset on outgoings and SUNDERLAND liked the move as they got a £6 million fee and had a saving of around £2million in wages causing them to rake in £8million of the £13 million fee and still allow them to sell him next season

He confirmed Gyan wouldn't be getting alot more money as his contract wouldn't allow him just tax free money and bonuses but not top money like most exiles like eto'o and stated his relationship with bruce for the reason he wanted to leave
