And people accuse Harry of talking gobbledygook?

Mind you, Sunderland's record with strikers does make you think.

The first quote is from the club's own propaganda and the second one is from Bruce actually being asked the question. There is no way a club is going to put "Our record signing is leaving on loan and he will never play for us ever again" in their official statement.

This obviously a wages/agent driven move. This is going to be a bad move for Sunderland as their strikeforce looks so bare.

Asamoah Gyan will double his money after quitting Sunderland for Arab outfit Al-Ain on a year-long loan.

Striker Gyan is picking up the same £40,000-a-week deal with the United Arab Emirates outfit, but the cash is tax free – and one of the reasons why he quit the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats also pick up a loan fee of over £1m on their one-time record buy.

The Ghanian was offered to other clubs because relations between him and boss Steve Bruce were so strained.

Marcotti was on ESPN Press Pass and he got good info on the deal last year, just reported that bruce and Gyan had big falling out and he was also upset on outgoings and SUNDERLAND liked the move as they got a £6 million fee and had a saving of around £2million in wages causing them to rake in £8million of the £13 million fee and still allow them to sell him next season

He confirmed Gyan wouldn't be getting alot more money as his contract wouldn't allow him just tax free money and bonuses but not top money like most exiles like eto'o and stated his relationship with bruce for the reason he wanted to leave

You'd be fuming if you were a Sunderland fan mainly because they can't sign a replacement.
It's a joke that the transfer window has different end dates in different countries.

What an arsehole this guy is, Steve Bruce was livid in his interview and rightly so. Also he is not half as good as some people seem to believe.

Gyan was always likely to use Sunderland as a stepping stone to bigger things (in this current loan case more money), why should Bruce be shocked or surprised?

Bruce went a bit dotty in the transfer market this summer. There's a new wheeler dealer in town, eh?

Tbf to gyan, Bruce does seems like a right two faced tosser, i mean the ghaly situation where he picked up a injury in training and ghaly said we don't train when injured at tottenham and he came out and said we don't run at tottenham and he refused to train

Crikey. I have a very hazy recollection of that. Why did he come out and say that?

Remember this is the guy who went on strike at Norwich to get his transfer to United.

Except that there are nearly 200 countries which play in two different hemispheres and multiple climatic conditions which effect when they can and can't play a season. There is no way a team on the edge of the equator a team in Buenos Aires and a team in Frankfurt, should or would have seasons that start, break and end at the same time and thus they would need to have different transfer windows to adjust for such global differences.

And there is no way Qatar should have been awarded the 2020 WC either, eh?
