Shown flashes of brilliance but is inconsistent, one good game in 5. I would argue that he has failed in the PL. A lot of modern day players from the dutch leagues seem to.

If he is not good enough for them he is not good enough for us
The real question isn't if he's good enough for us because he's deemed not good enough for Chelsea (see Lukaku, Salah, and De Bruyne for that not to be true anyway) but if he's better than what we already have. Is he better than Lucas? Probably, yes.

But none of that matters. The only question is: does Conte want him?

I don't know, but I have a nagging suspicion we are completely done for the summer. There are no credible links to anyone since Udogie. It looks like we're going to go with what we've got.

Well we know we definitely aren’t done because Gil is really close to an exit and Conte has said if anyone leaves they must be replaced.

So if Gil and Tanganga leave, that’s two incomings for sure. The question we should be asking is, will we replace Gil and Tanganga with the likes of Zaniolo and Bastoni or will we bringing in Rodon 2.0 and Traore.

I think he's a very good player. I'd take him as the backup option for sure. But, Chelsea will scree us over, and Mourinho will screw us over for zaniolo

I hope that's the case. And I hope if we do this, they're actually players that will make a difference and not just be cheap bench-warmers. But being so late in the window, I can't see it. I think we'll end up with crap like Traore and a loan for someone like Chalobah.

If we believe the remaining outs will be;
Gil
Winks
Tanganga
Reguilon

Then discount the fact that Winks and Reguilon were deemed squad surplus anyway you can only see remaining moves being RWF and CB.

I think clearly the first choice for these positions would be Zaniolo and Bastoni so I guess it remains if Conte holds steadfast to looking to recruit them and only them - perhaps even waiting until January window - or Paratici pushes what he believes are suitable backup options that fulfill then remit in the short term (Ziyech/Traore/Chalobah/?)

Won't be long to find out....

I can understand him wanting to stay in the UK as he'll get way more in wages. I think he's struggled to adapt to the PL and he'll be 30 this season. He is the right kind of player I think, but not the right player. I don't think he will shine for us.

can’t find where original source posted it though.

Tottenham is seen with options to take Ziyech.

Ajax also wants the Moroccan from Chelsea but the 'Spurs' trust to prevail.

Negotiations underway between the two London clubs.

The conditions with the player are already on track.

An interesting option. He didn’t look great last night but he probably needs a change of scene.

Supposedly Ajax’s deal for Ocampos has broken down so imagine they will come back in for Ziyech. Can’t see this deal

Exact what I thought, he looked poor last night, but thats one game I guess and it sounds like he is done at Chelsea anyway.

I’ve not really noticed him much while in England, he seems to be another from the Dutch league that struggled over here.

It will be the players decision though. If he wants us over Ajax, maybe it happens.

Got a wand of a left foot.

Doest have the physical attributes of a Conte type though.

Is he world class? No. But I'd be really happy with this, not that deals between Chelsea and Spurs ever happen.
