I think we've got more chance of seeing Sol and Adams here rather than Defoe.
He'll keep us up but then Juande would have done that plus, had Levy let him run business in the transfer window.
So fuckin true:shrug:

I voted goat.Who knows if Redknapp will be successful or not ,so hard to be happy or unhappy about him taking over. One thing is pretty much for sure ,he could hardly do worse than what Ramos has this season.

Id say for now yes im happy with his appointment.

But for the long term future of the club - probably not.

Dare I say it, but harry has been appointed to save us from getting relegated and potentially losing millions via tv rights as well as all our top players - and thus taking us 10 steps backwards from where we actually want to be (top 4).

Once we hopefully avoid relegation, spurs and levy will be on the lookout for harry's succesor, and it will again be a glamour european name who has the credentials to take us to the top.

This exactly.

Irrespective of whether Levy's a **** or a ****, Ramos really couldn't stay. The LC was a magnificent triumph and the PSV defeat in the UEFA just bad luck - but in the Lge, he just coudn't cut it and he was given every chance.

Redknapp's not going to do worse. He'll keep us up. He might even revitalise the team to win something. But if we're not in the top-6 and rising by this time next season - off he goes too.

Because that's the Levy way. He's a serial manager-swapper. Even now, he'll be quietly tapping-up either BMJ to come back or some other big name. He's a managerial equivalent of a celebrity-shagger like that permatanned Essex brass with the dayglo teeth. Forget the glory game - this is now the Tottenham way and will continue to be the Tottenham way until Levy/ENIC sell-up.

Pleased to see that clueless fool Comoli go btw. If he reaches his true job level, he'll be checking tickets at Euston next week.

Only thing I'm worried about is how he can handle all the pressure what this job brings in. It's clear that Spurs manager post is even worse place than England's and it won't be easy to take this club where it belongs (or watching team now, it belings to Championship and that would be easiest way). But I'm sure he will turn our course around but it will take some time, of course picking up a win against Bolton would be a good start

Perfect man for the job to be honest.

We need a man manager and a motivator at the moment, and he ticks all those boxes.

We'll stay up now.

Perfect man for the relagation battle that we are in. Still this might be a job too big for him.

If, and thats a big if, we do stay up, will he get us any further than Jol did?
Not sure about that, but then again, I'd just like to see him get us near to the standard Jol did.

By sacking Ramos, Levy has effectivly held his hands up and said sorry, I fucked up. Now we are in an even worse place, so we are bringing in a relegation specialist to sort us out.

So fuckin true:shrug:

But Levy employed Ramos under the director of football system, so Ramos knew the score when he came....it didnt work, the system is changed and this opportunity is not too big for Redknapp.

He's a very underrated manager.

People like Darren Bent, Lennon, JJ and Bentley will flourish under him which can only be good for spurs.

Well, in a way Im well chuffed, there is not doubt hes a great guy and a great manager.

But spurs are bigger club than he had managed before and have different expectations than that of southampton pompey etc. finishing 7th is no good for us (apart from this season). So i do have my reservations, will he be able to attract top players like ramos did? (yes I know they havent performed)

Spot on, after turning down Newcastle (they have the greatest fans in the world you know) I was suprised to see Arry come to us, however it is back to basics for Spurs now we have had many years of trying to be the English Barca using DOF's etc.. and it hasnt worked.

There is going to be some very shocked players in that dressing room now.

Be interesting to see who he brings in for backroom staff.

I really don't like his "we want this player but that club will probably get him and we need money so we might sell some players..." the whole Kaboul affair was pathetic.

That said, I'm not a fan but at this time I think he might be the right man.
