I'm not a huge rugby fane, but this story keeps rearing it's bizare head with the picture of the fella walking off the pitch with joke shop blood dripping out of his gob.
This seems to have cost a few people their jobs, and brought shame on the sport but what I don't get is:
what the fuck was it all about. Why did they hatch this crazy scheme in the first place ? What were they trying to achieve by having a player lead off the pitch with a fake injury and why couldn't he just have pretending to have twisted an ankle or something ?
