Real Madrid are looking at the Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as a potential recruit in the long term as the club approach a new era of rebuilding, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at the club at a crossroads and another generation of big names required.

Real’s interest was piqued 12 months ago when Kane scored seven goals in eight games including the two goals against Chelsea on New Year’s Day, which was rewarded with a new contract the following month.

Madrid’s relationship with Spurs is better than most with a decent understanding built with Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, over the signings of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. The Spanish club have paid close attention to the 22-year-old Englishman for more than a year and although there is no prospect of a sale this month, he is regarded as the kind of player who would suit their acquisition policy of the biggest emerging names in Europe.

Would anyone be surprised if Real weren't scouting someone who is one of the top scorers in the PL in the last 12 months?

I long for the day that these overpaid morons actually stick to their job of reporting the news instead of trying to make it. Quick to build him up last season, quick to call him a one season wonder all summer, quick to jump on his "goal drought" and quick to sell him off when they don't own him. How many press conferences do Spurs need to do reiterating he's going nowhere and how many interviews with Kane where he echoes the sentiment do we need to see done before they find another dead horse to pummel to death?

Women's gossip mags have more integrity than these idiots now

LOL

Last week it was Ronaldo saying either I leave or Benitez goes, and Rafa goes.. now they are thinking of getting rid of Ronaldo are they? :D

As for the Spurs relationship, doubt it. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was mentioned at the AGM or fan forum (something like that anyway) that the agreement with RM was no more.

Was a fantastic story last night on SKY Sports News, Costa and Oscar in training ground bust up shock.
Oscar later tweets this is utter bollocks, we're good friends and anyone saying otherwise is talking crap.
SKY SPORTS NEWS reports this tweet!!!!!

So make up a story as news..... and then report the repercussions as news????
Marvellous.

'Madrid's relationship with Spurs is better than most'.

Fuck me, how bad are the other relationships?

To be fair, I'm sure if you asked Real what they thought of their relationship with us, they'd probably be mighty positive...!

I thought it is from daily mail, express, star or metro
But Telegraph ffs?

Exactly. It's pure clickbait.

They did the same a couple of days ago with a Bale story. It's just bullshit.

I'm sure Madrid have scouted him but then so would every other champions league club.
