Times : Harry Kane has formally told Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave this summer and believes he has a gentlemen’s agreement with Daniel Levy. United, City, Chelsea and Barcelona are all interested

Just makes me think of this

Spurs are wet wipes in the footballing world in general! Pretty much out there with our history of non-success! Kane's far more ambitious than the club he plays for and the club he supports!
Good for him but I'm not going to be crying, moaning and blaming about it.
If he wants to go, then fine but it'll be on our terms and our conditions. We've lost big players before and I've no doubt we'll do so again, as has every other club.
It's all the hand-wringing, crying, we don't deserve him/he deserves more than us bullshit that pisses me off.

I support Tottenham Hotspur. Always have and always will, so my loyalty (and blind faith/optimism) lies with the club.
What will be, will be.

For all Levy’s flaws, I don’t think he’d sell to Chelsea. And he won’t be forced into selling to anyone for a figure that’s less than he considers fair.

This is all very fair, and while subjective, you’re final conclusion is a very justifiable one to reach. Be that at it may, want and get are two very different things and thankfully I don’t see him going on strike or downing tools, especially not with the PL record getting closer all the time.

Yeah there's definitely a long way to go before he leaves, and it's not a foregone conclusion.

“Levy, the Tottenham chairman, believes that Kane is worth a fee of up to £150 million but it is understood that United may attempt to use Jesse Lingard as part of the deal.”

This is why we absolutely cannot sell Kane this summer. We’ll lose one of the world’s best players to sign players like Jesse Lingard

If you think it's too late for spending money to help us, then how will new owners fix anything?
It’s too late for the current owners. They have already wasted 20 years of my life. Any new owners start with a clean slate!

If that's the point we have got to we as a fan base really need to wake the fuck up.

Eh what? If we don't think we can get a suitable replacement and Kane is still going to perform there is literally no point selling him.

Him wanting to leave shouldn't really be a shock to anyone once the Mourinho experiment ended in disaster.

I wouldn’t mind getting Lingard in on recent form

I’m support Tottenham Hotspur too! And we should all’m support Tottenham Hotspur! No player is bigger than the club and, as much as I’m posting with disdain for the credibility of this report, of he wants to go and we get £200m which can then plug a lot of holes in our squad, so be it. He’s a Spurs legend and easily the greatest player we’ve had since Hoddle, he’s given us enough of his career by any measure, even if we had been winning constantly, and the club will still be there if he leaves us.

But it won’t be this summer, if that I’m am sure’m ?

Totally agree with this

He’s going. It happens. Need to get a good price and reinforce the squad.

But who’s the right guy to lead it? No idea

Absolute club legend. if he does go then so be it. He's world class so we'd obviously miss him.

But I'll still be getting up for work 5 days a week and Tottenhan Hotspur will always be there. It won't ruin my life.

And if he did go, as much as i don't hold much hope of how we'd invest the money, I'd be excited seeing new players and maybe a different way of playing.

But make no mistake, Kane is world class.

Agree, I would be amazed if he even picked up the phone for Chelsea.

It’s Utd I worry about. Pandemic or not they always seem to find the money somehow.

I know many are saying he’s not guaranteed the biggest trophies there ( as opposed to City), but he’s got a far better chance of them there than with us sadly.

Said it a few times now but I get info from time to time. My guy is absolutely adamant Kane is off this summer and what's more, the price is £90m. He's given me a few bits over the past 6 months and all have been bang on. I really hope he's wrong but he has been adamant the whole time that he's off, Kane has his people exploring options and £90m will do the job. I've challenged him over the price etc a few times and he's not budged on it. I really hope he's wrong on this occasion.
He is! And certainly no chance at 90m!!!

No disrespect to your info or anything but there's absolutely no way Kane goes for £90m, even if he was in the last year of his contract.

Hazard went for over £100m with one year left, Maguire went for £80m and Pepe was £72m.

I don't like Levy but that offer would get laughed out the room.
