How is City less of an evil than United?

No one cares about City. Most people shrug their shoulders when City win anything. If Liverpool or United win, we never hear the end of it.
And, as a Norwegian, seeing that smug bastard Solskjær signing Kane would be horrible.

Of course Kane has had chances to win trophies with us, but it is still always a team game and that's the point. For example, he's played a CL final where Sissoko lost it for us in the first minute waving his arms around like a tit, and a League Cup final where thanks to a chairman trying to save money as usual we were managed by a 29 year old novice who just picks his mates... in contrast the opponents we faced were excellently organised teams and full of very good and hard working players. So it wasn't exactly a level playing field in those big matches.

CL final:

- it shouldn't have been a penalty
- we were the better team for the majority but looked toothless up front
- we looked toothless up front because Harry contributed virtually nothing to our play
- he contributed nothing to our play because he wasn't remotely fit
- he wasn't remotely fit so he shouldn't have started
- he nevertheless did start.....because he always wants to start and he's Harry Kane, so always gets his way.

So he most certainly has to take his share of the blame.

League Cup final:

Give over. We were shit under Mourinho and getting worse. We hadn't beaten a top ten team for 3-4 months by the time the final came around - let alone a team as brilliant as City. Not a chance that the result would have been any different had Jose still been with us.

Can see him going to Man City for 4 seasons, win a bucket load of trophies ( we'll win fuck all during that time), then come back to us and break Greaves goalscoring record - a bit like how Sheringham came back after winning silverware at Man Utd.

He then might win the Europa Conference or League Cup with us.

God I don’t want him back if he goes no chance.

My mate got a tax rebate last year and bought a GOT replica sword and a bouncy castle.
He doesn’t have any children.

By contrast Levy got a Bale replica player and built Spurs a bouncy Castle made of bricks.

The only thing I take from the Kane interview is that he won't be signing a new deal with Spurs. I'm sure if Man City have tapped him up behind the scenes he would prefer to go now, but I very much doubt we'll see the England captain go on strike to get the move. He knows his price is only going to get cheaper as the years go on, and he also knows that in the absolute worst case he leaves on a free at 30 and will go to a top side on a massive three-year deal and win trophies. His game never has relied on pace or athleticism so ankles permitting he could easily be a top player until 34-35. I could even see him doing a becks and going over to Italy for a couple of years to win titles there once he's broken Shearers record.

What as a fanbase we don't want to be doing is shitting the bed and turning on him. This will be what his/his agent wants. Then he gets the move pushed through for a price that isn't good enough. As a club we should stay calm and set a price for each of the next three transfer windows and if it's met we will let him know. If it isn't, he plays for Spurs until he is no longer contractually obliged to. Simple as.

Fuck that, he’s not welcome back as far as I’m concerned. He’s destroyed his relationship with the club and it would be utterly pathetic to go crawling back to him in the future. I’d rather lose with dignity than ever win with Kane.

This is all comes down to the appointment of mourinho in my speculative view. At the start of the Amazon doc he tells Kane he's going to make him one of the world's best, talked about in the same breath as Messi and Ronaldo.

In mourinho's defence that was one of the things he actually achieved but it was massively at the detriment to the rest of the team. Instead of the entire team being coached attacking tactics it became all about defend well and given the opportunity give the ball to Kane, and a lesser degree Son and let them work their magic. This led to the form of the likes of bergwejn, Dele, Tanguy, lo celso, bale dropping off a cliff.

This made Kane look so much better than his teammates who in my view would look so much better under better coaching. This would only inflate Kane's ego relative to his peers. And the speculative part from me is I can just imagine mourinho's parting words to Kane being something like "I'm a serial winner, I've done all I could and it's achieved nothing. There are too many losers here to turn that around. If you want to win, you need to leave" (it would tie in with a few lines from Kane's interview).

As a former fully fledged BSoDL I'm wondering whether the mourinho appointment and the refusal to rectify it as soon as it was needed should be a stackable offence in itself. I guess it depends on what levy does next. He needs to get everything right in the next year or two for a chance of retribution.

Wont win with him anyway. He’ll either be completely fit and go missing or come rushing back for it in order to warm up for England & be 5% fit.
