Hypothetically, as keeping a player who wants out never works and I'm sure the situation overall would probably get worse.

Why doesn't levy just say he won't accept any bids, at all, and Kane has to see out his contract? I don't care about £150million in the bank if it's not reinvested in players properly.

We let eriksen go to make £16million(?) He was still the most creative player in the club when he left and was coming off the bench making assists and scoring goals, I'd have rather seen another 6 months of him and then he went on a free if it had got goals and assists. Certainly didnt seem to benefit from the money we managed to get. This desperation to avoid losing value on a player would make sense if Levy would take that money to a DOF who has a plan on how to spend it wisely, but spurs dont have that. So may as well just lock players into contracts.

I probably wouldnt be so worried about him going if I thought the club will just reinvest/reinvent the team like Dortmund do, I'm sure they already have a plan on how to move on after Haaland.

I know this wont happen, is completely unrealistic and against the way Levy works, but if there isnt a DOF/improve scouting system, I honestly struggle to see why any amount of money helps
I feel exactly the same say he has to stay the 3 more years, he signed the contract and would just to get on with it. We might improve, he won’t down tools he has tons of personal goals to chase. 3 more years is more valuable than any money. Plus it’s sends the message we are not being pushed around anymore.

Being so close to Greavsies records he’d be daft not stick it out for another season but hey ho.

Especially as City are soulless cheats.

I really don't think Kane will decide on his future that immediately. There are so many things needed for the move to happen.

Really does look like he’s gone. Ah well. Lost a lot of respect for the man doing all that with two games to go. If all that stuff came out an hour after this game. I would have felt better about it. Lack of class in that respect.

Thanks for the memories. I hope you are wank at your next club.

There's a reason it was done in front of cameras. Harry has played this perfectly to get his move. Everyone knows he wants out, he knows the media will be all over it.

Like JJ said, if someone pays something we will accept he will go. We will not be keeping him if we get an acceptable price.

Honestly the best player I have seen at the club. Shame the way it has ended.

I’m really pissed off. We’re losing the greatest player of this generation to Man City. I’m pissed off with City for being able to do this. I’m pissed off with the club for squandering the brilliant promise of the Pochettino era. I’m pissed off with the squad for being so gutlessly shit all year. And I’m pissed off with Kane- pissed off that he’s choosing to stay in this league. Pissed off that he went public over wanting the move. Pissed off that his ambition overrides his loyalty to his childhood club. He’s been revered by the fans for years, and this is how he chooses to end his time with us
