I think he must have asked Graham Roberts to pass the message on to Daniel.

As A&C has said the length of time it has taken for this statement to be released by Kane is suspicious, and there are contentious areas and discrepancies around the "planned" return date for training or at least reporting to the training ground between club and player, and he refers to "specifics he does not wish to go into". All thus adds up to far too much uncertainty.

This all said, what is clear at the moment, is that Man City have not come up with an acceptable offer, and don't appear at the moment to be anywhere near to putting an acceptable offer on the table, so let's hope Kane does what he says what he's going to do and reports for training, we have to crack on now and get ready for the start of the season, and although realistically the speculation in the media won't die down and it will only get cranked up again in the days leading up to the Man City game if he's still here, we need to do our best to stay focused. He could go some way to putting this behind him by knuckling down and banging in the winner against Shitty City in the season opener at our place.

If the club had any sense they’d announce Romero right now to overshadow whatever that statement was.

But they don’t.

Mainly because it wouldn't overshadow it quite the opposite in fact
It would be barely a mention
Sky have been desperate to sell kane for years I have never seen a summer where they haven't tried it's massive for them imo.

Actually, it's probably the opposite. Spurs about to announce potentially a record signing, a real signal of intent, and they don't want Kane's BS statement to overshadow it.

as someone that hasn't read all the posts on here recently - did he have a gentlemans agreement of some sort to leave for for a certain prize or is that all bollocks?

What a load of Baranard’s castle that tweet from him is.

If you weren’t on strike. Why weren’t you at training?

If there’s a private reason, which there could be, why wasn’t this statement released on Monday afternoon?

I don’t buy it for a second, when it was clear journalists were being briefed by his dipshit brother on Monday that he had no intention of returning to training, while Spurs were briefing he was awol.

He’s taken us for granted, and coming out with such a bullshit non statement really shows his arrogance imo, does he honestly expect anyone to swallow this bullshit?

Either apologise for being a dick, or fucking own it, you complete coward.

Or as I posted last night, he's under more pressure because Southgate and the FA are on his case as well.
If that's true, what a ****.

Can't wait to boo him even if he's winning. All very hollow when you're known as a ****.

I'm imagining a similar scene

"Right Charlie, I'm off for my week-long wildlife trip into the everglades with Tom Brady, just us, a hoverboat and the elements, and certainly no phone reception! You cleared this with Mr Levy, right?"

"hmm? Yeah of course Harry, of course!" *hides his phone buzzing with texts from a "$$$xxMrPepGxx$$$" *

Social media drives the conversation, not Sky Sports News.

SSN only have the power to drive the discussion when they’re making noise to fill the void.

I'm glad he has seen the comments!

I don't buy this as a sincere apology. But, I do see it as the first step towards recognizing he is likely to be here for the year.
It’s a shame as at this point most of us probably now want to sell him.

This statement as well as Pep coming out and saying they’re interested but Spurs won’t come to the negotiating table speaks volumes.

I think that's insulting people's intelligence, really.

Are we really expected to believe that they gave harry an extra week off, just when it so happens his england team mates had suggested he was going to miss training ?
There's always a chance the club have suggested he take an extra week because they know he wants out and they know how high profile he is. Give Nuno and the lads a chance to start training without that particular circus in town, and avoids endless questions about why he isn't playing in the friendlies. Would seem a fairly shrewd move.

Of course that's just one possibility. Maybe something happened with a family member. Maybe he's just a **** who is sulking like a baby. Maybe he thought it was a great power play and is now desperately trying to save face.

Like A&C says this could be a genuine thing so why jump on the hate train when nobody really knows the full story?

Its time to forgive and forget and move on. If there was one player that would be allowed to strike, it would be Harry Kane after all he has done for the club. He could have kicked up a fuss years ago. The guy wanted Spurs to win as much as any other Spurs fan.
