What do you think they should have said?

What do you think they should have said?
Fair question.
They said nothing which is exactly what I would have done initially. The difference is they said nothing for too long.
Given they can't say "he's staying" because that would be a deceit, and they can't say "he's leaving" because that trashes their negotiating position, if it was me, then on Wednesday I'd have said "Kane has requested to extend his break and the club has agreed and expects him to return to training (or isolation if anybody can figure the rules out) on Saturday. "

Agree. IF there was a promise it would have been along the lines of "Give us another year and we'll let you go if we get an acceptable offer". Now if the Clown Brothers didn;t understand what he meant by acceptable offer that's on them.

The Neville interview is even more damning now;

GN: "Do you think you are at that crossroads now where you have to talk to the chairman about your future? How do you think that conversation will go?"

HK: "Yeah I think so. I don't know what that conversation will be like, he might want to sell me if he gets £100m for me. But in the end its up to me and its about whats best for me and my career. I don't want to have regrets when I retire"

The implication there that he hasn’t had such a conversation with Levy. So where’s he getting this gentleman’s agreement horseshit from?

Apparently they haven't though, so that's a deceit too?

I've not actually bothered to watch the interview but did Neville actually say that it might be nearer to 200m?

The world’s best striker doesn’t want to play for us any more.
I think it’s somewhat delusional to think that, if he doesn’t move, he will perform at the same level he has done in the previous seasons.
He may be a professional, but his head has been turned and once that happens it’s ultimately game over.

FWIW, he may still be here when we play City, but come 1st September I don’t think he will,
Of course he will perform. If anything it may drive him on to up his game to win the fans back. He’s not the type to drop his head.

Then why did you sign a Six year contract with no release clause….because with three years to go, it’s not up to you and you may have regrets….

The bloke's pathetic. No wonder he's bottled it in every final he's played in - he's missing a pair of bollocks. Crying about the fans questioning his professionalism (read: image) whilst hiding behind twitter, get a grip.

All feelings disappeared for H when he did his cringey interview with that poo weasel Neville.

Good riddance.

But that would be lying. We didn't agree.

OK, I'm going to bite re planned/agreed.

Is this whole clusterfuck not about Kane wanting a move, but simply that he wanted 4 weeks off, and Spurs wanted 3? He's coming back when he 'planned to', but not when Spurs 'agreed'. He was indeed due back on Monday gone, but as per the club, not him. He has basically said 'fuck it, I'm shagged out, I'm having 4 weeks off, 3 at Uncle Joe's and then a week at Disneyland/world (don't @ me, IDGAF)?

He's gone dark in Florida, City have put a cheeky £100m bid in and everyone has put the two together and got eleventeen. Charlie wasn't even involved, busy as he was ordering a miniature oil slick desk for his phone and a job lot of picture hooks for the photos of all his clients.

I'm a fucking genius and I'm now going to bed knowing that absolutely nobody will spam me overnight.

Who said they haven't? Kane says they have.
My guess a conversation was along the lines of "I'll be back on the 7th", "we want you on the 2nd", "ye well I'll be back on the 7th", "OK, but you'll be on the naughty step". Who can say if that constitutes an agreement?

Bah, H is a vanilla kind of guy, and I'll take that statement at face value.

Someone has fucked up royally here, but if everyone is prepared to learn from it, and H comes back and knuckles down, then fair fucks... let's move on.

But CK66 can fucking do one.

I still can’t believe Nuno and Kane haven’t spoken. I thought it was odd at the Euros but even since? Doesn’t need to be a long fucking phone call, Jesus Christ, that can’t be normal.
