What can we say about Harry Kane…. He is one of the best players/goal scorers to wear the shirt for us and during his time here Levy has more often than not surrounded him with shite and awful management errors.

We have a generational player, a gift and Levy even managed to f*** that up.

I feel sorry for Harry.

Agree, although I give it 5 minutes before someone mentions him not playing well in finals ?.

Commentators still can't help mention Halland when talking about Shearers record this season for some reason. Yeah just a couple hundred behind. Just fucking give the praise to Kane that he deserves. He's not even far behind Halland this season with several seasons and 2 golden boots in the bank. It will be perfect if he gets the record in the NLD. Just dont be silly and score a hat trick Saturday.

Or in Levy's mind signing soldado gave Harry the room to shine

Goal scorers are the hardest thing to find, great ones even more so. Kane’s prime years represented such a huge opportunity to us as a club. To have the hardest piece to find in place, we just had to build a competent team around him.

But no we have had Levy hiring Nuno, Ryan Mason in charge of cup finals, because of yet more Levy cockups. Harry is still playing well but his prime years are probably behind him and the fact that it’s been a mess during that time, incompetent management and heaps of god awful signings, when we had the opportunity that Harry represented, that’s something I will never forgive Levy for.

Papers over the cracks again tonight

What a player - He’d also have another 20 odd assists by now if he was playing with equally fantastic players around him

Criminal how much stuff he sets up that’s wasted - Shame Kane can’t be on the end of his own creations!

We have to accept that Kane is typically sluggish starter.

I mean aftwr a break or start to a season he tends to take a couple of games to get going.

This season hes been relentless with goals but not exactly his normal best with the rest of his game.

Second half tonight was first game I think he's been more like himself from last season. His second goal was superb and we simply havent seen enough of him getting into those situations this season (not saying it's his fault as I think he's really missed Deki). Gil helped tonight though.

Hopefully we see him at his brilliant best against the Goons now

Showed his class tonight. Strong on the first and the second finish was a thing of beauty, the skill involved in that was top tier.

Hopefully he can do some damage against Arsenal and City. I'd rest him for Saturday personally. Son needs the gametime more.

Spurs with the biggest away win of the season and Harry Kane goes within 2 goals of becoming Tottenham’s all time top scorer as Spurs breaks their negative form. Let’s see what the media is talking about...

I would love to know the different detail stats between haaland and Kane in terms of shots etc. haaland seems to get loads of chances whereas Kane doesnt

Not sure what the merit would be as Haaland has better service and would have to take into account crosses made for the striker to have a pop at as Kane has been deprived of that. I reckon Harry is better anyway, stats or no stats!

Really? Thought many players in the second half were excellent.

Kane has 11.98 xG (measure of quality of chances he’s had) while Haaland has 15.23. Both overperforming those numbers at a fairly similar rate by the looks of it.

I think Kane is benefitting from our set pieces, we’ve really made a point of finding him from corners this season which has given him some very high xG chances.

So kane is getting less chances

Sublime last night.

Men against boys.

Travesty if he breaks our scoring record with no trophy with us.
While I agree. I don’t think trophies are as big of a thing as people make out. Ending his career as the PL top goal scorer and Spurs top goal scorer will live far longer in the memory than a FA Cup or something. John O’Shea has a stacked trophy cabinet. Will any of us remember him in 15 years?
