While I agree. I don’t think trophies are as big of a thing as people make out. Ending his career as the PL top goal scorer and Spurs top goal scorer will live far longer in the memory than a FA Cup or something. John O’Shea has a stacked trophy cabinet. Will any of us remember him in 15 years?
He could even finish his career with 300+ goals in the top flight, something that only Bill 'Dixie' Dean (Everton in the 1920s and '30s) and Jimmy Greaves have achieved. If you hadn't mentioned John O'Shea's name, I wouldn't have thought of it. I've seen plenty of United players over the years whose names come to mind before his.

So good in the second half. That second goal was very much a Kane goal from 5 years or so ago. One touch and drilled into the far corner. The touch btw was outrageous to kill it in his path. Didn't even take another step with his right foot just touch and bang. Loved it.

Really? Thought many players in the second half were excellent.
The first goal was crucial, then scored a beauty 5 mins later, goodnight Charlie

He’s the difference by a country mile

The good news was no howling mistakes at the back that led to us going 1-0 down

Commentators still can't help mention Halland when talking about Shearers record this season for some reason. Yeah just a couple hundred behind. Just fucking give the praise to Kane that he deserves. He's not even far behind Halland this season with several seasons and 2 golden boots in the bank. It will be perfect if he gets the record in the NLD. Just dont be silly and score a hat trick Saturday.
Haaland is scoring at a monstrous rate for his debut season in the PL, but Shearer's PL scoring record will likely be irrelevant as I think Haaland will want to move to a team like Real Madrid after a few years. You can imagine him being the next galactico there once Benzema is finished.

Obviously we'd all absolutely love to see him match the club record or even break it against Arse.

Loves a goal against them too.

It would be ludicrous not to have won anything with him. In a world where clubs are spending £80m for someone like Nunez, and where proper number 9s are a dying breed, it just sounds ludicrous that we have someone who will be top of the tree at the end of his career and us not having taken advantage of that. Before Kane, I remember we were scouring around for strikers.

Hopefully he’ll be rested tomorrow but if he plays and gets booked does he miss Arsenal?

Only a red card.

He will start tomorrow (per Stellini)

A brace would tie him with Greaves, setting up a winner v. Arsenal to be the all-time scorer.
Cheers mate. If he’s on 4 yellows, why wouldn’t he miss the gooners game with a fifth?

Equalling or breaking the club record against Woolwich wouldn't mean much without a win. When we visited the Holloway Road library, he became the first player in PL history to reach 100 away goals, but they still won.
