Given our recent relationship with PSG (Moura, Aurier, ITK that Khelaifi/Levy are friends, QSI links to investment), if they are in the mix, I can very easily imagine Kane ending up there. Whether he would want to go there if Mbappe is gone is another question. Haven't been following PSG's transfer business closely but a quick review indicates they're going to be weaker (Messi and potentially Mbappe gone).

Also, my money would be that we use the money to buy both the CBs we want. I would like us to buy Toney/Kolo Muani as well but doubt there'll be money for that. We know how ENIC operate (balanced books).

Yes, if it's something like:

Taspoba, VDV, Gallagher, Nico Williams, Kolo Muani.

We would be much stronger overall.

That would be a lot of signings to make before the end of the window though.
Yeah sadly we will be shopping at Lidl not Waitrose with that money

Danny Kelly says that one of the main reasons to keep Kane is that there are five CL spots up for grabs in the Premier League the coming season. Has this actually been confirmed? Did a quick google search but was unable to find confirmation of this.

That would look to be a fair bit more than we would get from Kane…

CL is expanding next season - and the two top leagues, based on this year’s performances in Europe, will get 5 spots.

It’s not guaranteed to be PL, but very likely with 8 teams in Europe this season.

£90/100m from the Kane sale and around £30m for PEH.

Plus any proceeds from selling Sanchez, Reguilon, Rodon, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Gil, etc...

It's definitely doable, but whether the club wants to is another argument...

I’d love to get that Ferguson kid at Brighton. It would be a massive risk laying out £70m plus (I plucked that figure out my arse obviously) for a 18 year old, though. I think it would also give us the opportunity to ease him in with Richarlison being first choice for the first year all the while developing the next elite level striker that could be with us for years to come (assuming Levy can lock him into a 15 year contract when he signs)

Definitely get what you're saying. Personally I liked van Persie a lot better after he left Arsenal lol.

I think with Kane, either way, whatever happens from now, he knows he's already secured club legend status here and will always be welcome back. As much as we wish he would stay forever it's not looking likely so for me now I think I'm almost at the acceptance stage, if he goes to Munich or Paris or Madrid I just wish him well. And I would absolutely take up the buyback option in a couple years time, don't care what anyone thinks.
There’s degrees of legend status though

he’s not going to be a Totti level or even Ledley level legend where people sing his name long after he’s retired

Yup. For the right price I could totally see that as a smart thing to do. Much more than buying a player of similar quality and age to Richi

Would you accept Kane going if it meant

2 centrebacks, midfielder, winger and a striker coming in?
No, because the 2 centre backs shouldn't even factor into Kane staying or leaving.

Getting a bit tedious that people are now linking getting in our most important targets for the most important position with Kane staying or going.

The way I look at it is, we absolutely need to bring in Tapsoba, ideally with VDV, if Tapsoba proves too expensive and we have to downgrade slightly on the 2nd centre back it should be Tosin then if desperate, Lenglet.

I think we are looking OK in midfield, but should PEH leave and N'dombele/Lo Celso, then we can bring in replacements.

If we sell Kane for say £100m then most of that should either go on a top top class striker to replace him or, split the money 50/50 or 60/40 on a very good striker and very good right attacker.

Cancels trip. Flies instead to London. Walks into Levy’s office.

Ah, Mr Dreesen, I’m so glad you came. One of your staff left this behind and I was keen to ensure it was returned to them”

Levy hands him a Bayern Munich shirt with Kane printed on the back.

“Good day Mr Dreesen”

In all honesty if Harry actually accepts a move to PSG he really is the biggest fool in England. What the actual fuck is his mind thought, well if he actually has one.

I just really wanna see him in an attacking side for us with Maddison behind him.

If he leaves us without winning anything it will taint any future success for me (if we actually manage it lol) as we should have been so much better than we have been since Poch left.

And as well as obviously problems we have, I’m still annoyed Poch didn’t do better with recruitment side as he just let it slide and we have struggled to recover since then - both Mourinho and Conte for all their faults at least got some players in.

if Kane goes to PSG he’s an absolute dope.

Realistically if he’s going to leave England he should be holding out for Madrid or Barcelona.

Bayern and PSG are both a tier down from the Spanish giants. There really isn’t much interest in the Bundesliga outside of Germany.

Yeah, sad as that is to think about. He could have been our Totti, but unlike Roma we failed to win anything. Maybe if we'd won the league back in 2016, or the CL of course.

Still think he deserves a statue tbf.
