absolutely agree, we cant let him go for less than he is worth, and if they dont offer that this time, no more dicking about with them.
Like i say it will impact our season more if it goes on any longer. No point selling him on deadline day and then have no time, or many options for decent replacements.
As always we trust the people at the top to know the best for the club, so will just have to see what happens.
Agreed. Hope that the season opener is the actual backstop, come what may. At least Kane actually has other things in his life going on at the moment that make that seem at least plausible, and if Bayern can't put up something this week then I don't see what either side are bothering with it for.

Bayern thought they could bully us into a sale but now they just look absolutely pathetic so I’m predicting they’ll eventually buckle and pay whatever Levy wants.

Do you think this is what it feels like to the fans of those Italian clubs who love wasting our time with transfers that never end up happening?

Only if Kane then signs a 6 year extension and reveals a giant tattoo of a cockerel adorned with a crown of thorns on his back when he whips his shirt off after scoring a double hat trick on Sunday 😭😭😭

I honestly don’t know who we could land so late in the window if Harry leaves. Gift looks great, but is a big gamble in terms of immediate impact. I really have no idea how we’d be able obtain a very good 9 at this stage. As we will also need to pay more.

Muani? Vlahovic? I worry it might not be possible to reel in a big fish like that before the end of the month. Yeah, stranger things have happened, but if Harry goes now, we may not line up and secure a top striker until next summer.

As each day passes, I hope Levy is tacking on more to the bill.

Look at the position of the rating on the screen. Most likely he left it accidentally as he scrolled on his mobile device, It's fat thumbs............most 'off topic' ratings are.

SC has strategically placed it there in order to create confusion and arguments.

If I were you i'd give him a proper coating over it :cautious:

Sky saying negotiations continued overnight, which fits into WLBs narrative that its still on.

Just failing to see any links right now to suggest we're getting anywhere with spending the money in a way that seems worthwhile.

Current CB preference is a 30m one. Only linked ST is a 25m one.

The only trouser lifting link I've seen is a spurious one to Eze.

Just doesn't seem worthwhile at all.

Ange's coaching just had our (supposedly useless) B team go away to Barca and be the better team for 70 mins playing on the front foot. Give him half a season to try and convince Harry!

We never have the kind of national media which Bayern enjoy, nor do I recall us ever speaking so publicly about other teams' players. Not since Harry was here, at least. Redknapp, that is!

That being said, we are reviled by many other teams' fans. We are regularly seen as having ideas above our station and considering ourselves a bigger, more successful club than we actually are. Often, when we are linked with players from other clubs, fans of those clubs think the player in question could move to a better team. And rarely do we seem happy to pay the mooted asking price; thus, negotiations are usually painfully protracted.

So yeah, in some ways, it probably feels a bit similar.

Interesting from Trix in the ITK thread. I have to say at this point he might as well stay. Why leave when you have a baby on the way and you have a choice of clubs next year or a new contract here? Bayern have shown they don't rate him that highly with their offers. Plus we can't make 3 signings worthwhile especially with the squad limits. Just get another CB and focus the rest of the window on clearing the worst of the squad.

Hate to be that guy but whilst I agree that we started positive it's important to remember that these are only pre-season friendlies. I've supported this team long enough to know any "buzz" around pre-season, transfer dealings etc means very little.

Also the way they have treated Mane! Maybe Harry is thinking twice about this.

“The agent of former Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane claimed the German giants of wanting to get rid of his client because he’s African and was their top earner”

I wouldn't be surprised if Kyle Walker now not going there might also have had an influence of HK. The thought of going over there alone, with his wife staying in the UK for now, possibly seemed a bit easier if he thought he would have KW there with him and they could settle in together.

Very good point - moving companies, let alone moving to a new job abroad is far easier if you have a friend moving with you.

Complete rollercoaster at the moment. - right now I still expect he will be sold :(

Fullkrug of Werder Bremen (who was seen as the backup for Kane if they left the deal) is signing an extension, so there is more pressure on Bayern now to get it done

With the exception of playing Champions League football for a season (not insignificant) and winning a bundesliga, it’s actually hard to see what huge upside moving now has for Kane given he’s free to leave in a year and will be able to pick a Premier league or La Liga giant next year if he leaves.
Inferior league for rest of his prime career, personal upheaval, and less in signing on fees for the sake of 1 season seems odd.

I feel like Bayern have seen this as an opportunistic signing. Kane’s in the last year of his contract. Let’s put in a cheeky bid.

Tbf, it’s the kind of thing we do, but I think they’ve been a bit flummoxed by how much it will cost and I’d imagine it’s a lot richer than they anticipated.

Thank said, from recent ITK, it sounds like we have a decent rapport with Bayern, so it’s unlikely they’d have been taking the piss initially.

Who knows… Pretty involved scenario all round by the sounds of things.
