His 2 goals behind Keane's spurs record, and 115 games behind. Robbie Keane, who in his day was a class striker, thats fucking insane, and shows how far his come and what a player he truly is. We are so lucky to be watching him, privileged.

oh, but..

DRxIn-pWAAEU_u7.jpg

So many replies to his tweet pointed out how 'forgetful' he has been.

https://twitter.com/johncrossmirror/status/944699193427419136

but he keeps digging:

John Cross @johncrossmirror Dec 24
If you had to go through six years’ worth of tweets it might suggest I haven’t used it very often. It’s so fashionable now that we’ve had about 20 calendar year mentions in one Match of the Day...

to which someone replies all you had to do was search, takes all of 30 seconds.

Someone says:
Finally someone mentioning the 'calendar year' is totally irrelevant to football! Thank you John.

He replies: I’m pleased someone agrees. A tweet of mine from six years ago mentioning it has been found so Twitter says I’m a hypocrite. Anyway, Happy Christmas.

And then a few gleefully point out that the whole premise of the Ballon D'Or is the calendar year :D others say he's making a fool of himself, showing his bias, then abusing the Mirror for their silly player nicknames and generally low quality coverage. It's a joy to read someone so arrogant get torn to shreds.

He's a bitter Arsenal fan and it's so obvious. Harry Kane has had a(nother) excellent season and 2 goals tomorrow will put him top of the pile across Europe.

Also on Kane: https://twitter.com/VauxhallEngland/status/944879622503706624

His goal vs Scotland won some online vote from Vauxhall for the fans favourite goal of the year. That is calendar year, not season, John.

I swear that was Dele.

It was Dele that played the pass to Sissoko - I made the same mistake thinking it was Harry. Not sure if he played the ball on to Dele though? Im pretty sure Kane played the pass that set Aurier through on goal though.

Just watched Harry Kanes 2017 on sky sports , shows all his goals in the premier league in the calendar year.I know its been mentioned on here frequently but wow he truly is world class and he's that good its taken for granted, how lucky we are to have him .The program also highlights how good we were at blowing teams away last season, lots of high scoring to nil games, let's hope we can get close to that sort of form in the coming months.

Can't stand the argument that his not world class, because he hasn't won anything, judging someone as world class is on individual merit and not team performances, and on individual performances he is among the world's best and the stats show that, his world class end of discussion, no matter what every woolwich or west spam fan says

Interesting watched Matt Le tiss interview. I honestly don’t think he regrets not leaving. He has a lifelong bond with Southampton and their fans.Yes walker may win a medal this year, a nice memory for him. But in a few years that medal will be tucked in a draw. If Kane stays at spurs there’s very little doubt he will be our greatest ever player. We are talkin statues. A lifelong legacy that will he can cherish forever. Every time he enters the new stadium for the rest of his life he would be treated like Royalty. I’ve no doubt that kind of adoration must outway a couple of Spanish titles.

Just watched kanes 2017 on Sky sports. Doesn't include the Burnley goals and obviously any potential goals from the Southampton game. As great as it was to watch just wait until footage of all goals are available, doesn't make sense otherwise.

Other than that it was proof Harry Kane is god.

Just seen that Harry is 14 goals behind last season all competitions tally of 35. The guy is a machine, I cannot see him not surpassing this total as long as he stays injury free.

I would love to see him beat Clive Allen’s 49 goals.

Harry Kane insists he's focused on beating Southampton - not Alan Shearer's goalscoring record

Harry Kane insists beating Southampton is more important than eclipsing Alan Shearer.

The Tottenham hotshot equalled Shearer’s 22-year-old record of 36 goals with his hat-trick at Burnley and admits he would love to break it.

But he says he will always put the team’s success before personal glory as Spurs chase a Champions League spot.

“Of course,” said Kane. “I’ve always said that. That will always be the case.

“I’m the striker, I’ll get the praise and get spoken about, but it’s so important the team does well.

“Going into the Burnley game, people were talking about the record and that I was three behind. I just hoped to get one or two to take into the Southampton game.

“So, yeah, it’s good to equal it, but most importantly for me, it’s the wins that matter.”

Kane has bagged 93 Premier League goals and the England star admits he dreams of deposing Shearer as the competition’s all-time top scorer.

Alli was jeered by Burnley supporters, who felt he should have been sent off for lunging at Charlie

Taylor and that he dived to win the penalty for Kane’s opener.

The striker said: “Maybe he fed off the crowd, he was the pantomime villain out there. He had two assists – the penalty and my third one. That’s when he’s at his best.’’

Interestingly, chief shit stirrer Neil Ashton speaking on NBC.
He said Tottenham are planning to make Harry Kane one of the highest paid players in the league with a bumper new contract.
He thinks he'll definitely be signing it.

Sounds like he's been tipped off about it, has he written anything anywhere regarding this?
