Just a cold then. I’m always amazed football players, especially those like Kane who have young children, don’t miss more games through colds.

Hang on a minute. What about Gazza winning the FA Cup with us in 91? I know he went off injured, but he still dragged us to that final and has a winners medal to his name. And Shearer won the title with Blackburn.

Spot on. Trophies are just one factor but not the be all and end all of judging a player, for all the reasons you just mentioned. Also I think people need to differentiate between different trophies. Winning the league title with Spurs will obviously mean you go down in history, but winning a couple of Carling Cups means fuck all in the long run. Kane will be remembered as a Spurs legend regardless of how many cups he wins.
