Pah, good luck to him trying to pronounce that Airport to the pilot.
I still think goals won't be the issue, it will be conceding them.Very much need Deki to return to the form he showed that first season he joined in January if we are to spread the Kane goals out.
I do think though we will be scoring lot more from midfield this year, but we should be looking at a 20 goal striker or top rwf with that Kane money and whoever is first choice CB.
Unless he's not doing the business on the pitch (which I find very hard to imagine) I just can't see Bayern letting go of him for a good while even if he is missing the golf and sunday roasts.I think he'll get homesick and push to come back next year and everyone's worst nightmares will come true.

I think it was probably two reasons, firstly if we leave Kane out of the match squads and preseason trips it completely weakens any negotiation power the club had left as it would have been obvious he was going, perhaps being in bids from premier League clubs, while also weakening our hand in any negotiations for any incoming attacking players. Why have we been playing him in preseason if this was the case, ridiculous
You can't just drop someone like Kane pre-season for a multitude of reasons especially as the deal at multiple points wasn't agreed. Why have we been playing him in preseason if this was the case, ridiculous
I think it's not just about quantity of players, but that the change of style will bring more players into goal scoring positions. We saw it with Skipp the other night. He didn't often (if ever) find himself flying in at the far post under Conte, but if he's given that licence under Ange then he might chip in with half a dozen goals when we might have previously hoped for one if we were lucky.Ange in today's presser saying that the plan was always to bring a number of players in to spread the goals across the team knowing that Kane was likely going to leave.
If that is the case we've got Maddison, Solomon and Veliz in so far, certainly not enough to cover Kane's goal contributions so sounds very likely there will be another 1-2 in to help with this.
Klinsmann
Same here.... I grew up watching the Bundesliga... I still follow it every week... I've always hated Bayern. Even more now because of the way they have behaved regarding Kane... so agree !!I want him to win jack shit at Bayern
Reminds me of this:Pah, good luck to him trying to pronounce that Airport to the pilot.
That would be a massive deal anyone would have top come up with to appeal to BM. Not just the fee they've paid us but the signing on fee and agent commissions and then matching the wages. Another year down the line, not sure I see too many wanting to do it. Maybe United as they don't seem to care about signing older players and don't have the same FFP pressures but can't see Chelsea (who many seem to fear he would go to even though i don't) will be able to continue spending at the levels they have been without serious investigations being commenced so I think we will see them having to adopt a spending approach that better reflects their revenue as they won't keep getting bailed out by Saudi money.I think he'll get homesick and push to come back next year and everyone's worst nightmares will come true.
Off the top of my head, I was gutted when we lost Hoddle, Waddle, Gascoigne, VDV, Bale and now Kane
But each time we got over it and we'll get over this. For an assortment of reasons, all clubs lose their best from time to time.
At the end of the day, he wanted to go so selling him overseas was the best outcome. I mean, fucking hell, I wouldn't piss over Levy if he was on fire and I do blame him for allowing the club to go so far backwards that we lost one of our all time great players, but, having allowed it to get that far, he did as well as can be expected out of the shitty situation he created.
That's as far as it goes with him though. For the rest of it, he needs to be catapulted so far up Tottenham High Road that the first time his bony little arse bounces is outside Seven Sisters tube station.
Nah feels better than mid 00s. We have a far better squad than those days. I still think we have a stronger squad than most. It's just City, Arsenal and Liverpool will be a cut above with their ambition. We will compete with Utd and Chelsea for top 4 but could struggle to keep up. I have us in the mix with Newcastle and Brighton for style of play and level of talent, maybe just above those 2 on paper. We're also better now than the team Poch started with post Bale or the squad Redknapp had. They had us competing head to head with the top teams. If I had to predict it will be City, Liverpool and Arsenal competing for top 3 and Utd, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle and Brighton between 4th to 8th. At worst we'll finish the same position as last season with Kane but at least be more fun to watch this time.Well, it's deffo a new era now for sure. Sonny will carry the torch for a few more years (I hope) but new horizons and all that.
All feels a bit mid 00s to me where we're good but against the top teams I have little hope, but I shall try and stay optimistic. My brain says a good system with the units working together can overcome the loss of a worldy but my shrivelled, blackened heart is weary.
