You actually believe that?

People would still find a reason to take the piss, when you have a narrative against and people constantly jumping on the bandwagon you there's little you can do.
Oh, of course some people would still run their mouths off, but if you start telling the joke yourself it loses it's power.

Didn’t sound pre planned though. Or, if it was, Perez wasn’t aware. His laughter seemed far too natural to be rehearsed.

I found it funny.

Probably because it was natural banter between mates instead of @Salaaaah465 on Twitter who thinks 'kAnE iS a sPaCkEr LOLZ', or a 19 year old social media 'executive' at LADbible on 2.50 per hour to create banter that BANGS and is FIRE... :shifty:

To be honest it's part and parcel of being a big name player. How long did/has John Terry had to put up with the 'gatecrasher' bantz for instance? Lots of players put up with it over their careers if they get caught up in something that looks a bit daft, the best thing he can do is take it all as a compliment really - that he's achieved a level of fame/standing, respect, and fear from rival fans that he is getting stick, rather than being seen as irrelevant.

Obviously a couple of the 'incidents' from people in a professional capacity shouldn't really have happened, but from a fans perspective if this was another team we'd be piling on the bandwagon..... And not going 'oh its been two weeks, we'd better ease off now'.

I agree with what you are saying. I do think that most of us are getting a little fed up with it especially as Liverpool fans seem to have taken offence by it despite the fact that their club, fans and players commit some truly disgusting things, whereas Harry has done something very mild, if bad at all, in comparison.

Time for Harry to get back on form and fire in a ton of goals before the seasons out. It will bring back some of the positivity for us and some people will shut up.

Wouldn't it be great if the crowd show him real support during the game regardless of how he does just to show him he is our main man. Don't just sing his name if he scores

This should happen every game IMO.
He probably needs a new song.

Quite interesting last couple games there’s been a couple of occasions where Kane may have shot but passed instead. They’ve been really noticeable tbh because you just almost know he will shoot at every opportunity. Wonder if he is getting teased and trying to show he isn’t selfish. It’s amazing how you can laugh stuff off as banter but subconsciously it actually has an effect. For whatever reason ever since the goal he hasn’t looked the same.

I think it’s a case of him not being fully fit and knowing he’s a yard off and the chance isn’t really there to shoot.

Just watched premier league predictions, with Paul Merson.

Discussing the usual, new stadium will be a struggle, Madrid will be after Kane, he’ll want out etc

Max Rushden asked him how much it’ll take to get Kane, Maradona replied ‘you’ve got to be talking about £130/£140m odd’

:ROFLMAO:

Needs a solid three or four against Watford on Monday, completely shake this none sense off.
Ridiculous that it’s gone this far or even that it went so public in the first place.

The FA gaff is a different matter and Poch is absolute right. Build players up. Embarrassing all round. I really don’t get why our media and own FA try to take down our own National stars before a tournament. That would annoy me as a player.

But still time for Harry to get it together again and finish this season strong.

Anyone see on SSN just now, Kane and Eriksen v Pochettino and Perez taking free kicks and trying to knock plastic bottles over as part of a get rid of plastic campaign. Poch and Perez won and Kane said ‘well done gaffer though there were a few dodgy decisions’, and Eriksen said quite softly ‘appeal it’ or something similar and Perez cracked up. Very amusing though I expect SportBible to sensationalise it any moment....

The only scenario where a ‘Kane claim’ tweet would be funny if it was SpursOfficial tweeting it after Liverpool lose in the CL final to a last minute goal. It’d never happen because we’d be too classy for that but it would be fucking hilarious.

Especially more so since they'd know that any level of failure will be met by huge criticism throughout. England players are on a hiding to nothing and can't win, which is exactly why I can imagine a lot of them aren't as enthused about playing for the national team.

If Ronaldo tried to claim a goal for Portugal the entire country would be behind him because they recognise that winning and driven mentality. Is that selfless will to have everything holding the teams that Ronaldo plays for back?? No.

It's why England will never amount to anything because ultimately there are people waiting to kick them all down at the slightest and the players surely sense that going into tournaments. It's all a bit pathetic really.

Remember when Rooney got hammered by the press and fans before 2010. Why would you hammer your best player going into a huge tournament?? Can't these idiots see the effect it has?

Got a really good feeling about Kane in this run-in. Which could be kind of dumb considering his current form. But it's just the fixtures we have, and all this chat surrounding him. I can see him going on one of those spells and letting loose. 7+ goals in the last 4 games calling it now.

There is a small chance that Salah could get banned for his swipe at Martins Indi, which would give Kane a shot at the golden boot...

I’ve seen it. It’s petulant and nasty, and no chance he gets anything from it. No chance.

Had it been Dele, we’d be getting half a dozen thinkpieces from SportsWitness, Bleacher Report and Phil McNulty right about now.
